i'm not exactly sure how much longer this wallpaper is going to be available... the link on the home page was only up for EXACTLY 3 Minutes.... then they took the link off the front page and replaced it with 'in theaters now'... HAPPY REVO TO ALL!!!!!

 		the current background wallpaper, makes me almost certain that this game is matrix related. Same green orb, same locations as the directory locations on metacortex website. i just wish there were a couple more similarities to remove all doubt

the question of whether it isnt was debunked surely ages ago

the question now is, how much is it linked to the matrix films...we are pretty sure its taking place during the same sort of timeline as the films (but without any of the main characters), or its taking place before the war between humans and machines (but this is HIGHLY doubtfull) we kinda already agreed it must be after the machines made the matrix. Why are people STILL uncertain?? I really hope the PM's dont read these posts...they will think we are really dumb to STILL be discussing whether its matrix related or not. lol

Someone posted those links in the forums at thematrix.com. It's probably nothing more than some fan hoping for more Matrix movies, but, oh well, why not post it?!? Smile What if this ARG is actually happening AFTER Revolutions? Just a thought...

Thanks, BrotherHalo, I already knew about that. I think Xtrava is saying that it is beyond a shadow of a doubt that this game is a Matrix spin-off. I was asking for proof of that statement, as I have yet to hear anything definitive on that issue.

 		I think the fact that it is a matrix related game is pretty obvious. I think the point of that post was to say that we don't yet know if it is fan fiction, or WB sponsored, but it is still inspired by the matrix in some way.

 		exactly lol. This may be because I am dumb (which at the risk of sounding big headed, I'm fairly sure I'm not) but my feable brain cant comprehend how someone could think that this game was NOT matrix related...it really, REALLY baffles me.

 		Ahhh, gotcha, taniwha. Well, everything points to it, but there's obviously nothing explicitly stated as such. However, seeing as if we are supposed to be in the matrix, then we wouldn't necessarily know about it, right? Dunno. Too much speculation and not enough clues.

I have seen no evidence AT ALL, and as long as I don't, I will never say "it is a fact". What if the creators of this game were looking for a suitable name for their global software company, and they wanted a name surrounded my mystery and gloom... picking Metacortechs from the Matrix would be a logical thing to do if, for example, the PM's happen to be fans of the movies. And thereby, the Thomas Anderson reference could be a "wink" to those other fans out there, who recognised the company-name... in fact the "*** TRANSFERRED ***" thing can be explained as exactly that if you like...

I am not saying I do think any of the above, I'm just saying it can be explained in a million ways, all depending on how set ones mind is on a certain point of view.

It's all a matter of opinion at the moment, and surely not fact.
