Dina set this site up for Ethan so they could communicate. I assume that she titled it this to say she was "missing ethan".

We're not saying it isn't, what we are saying (or at least a couple of the posts anyway) is that if it were, we would get nothing from it.
If it says "FIND THE DOG" we know to look for a dog. This would be OK
If it says "FIND BETH", "FIND ETHAN", "FIND THE GIRL" or anything already being looked for we'd be no better off for solving it.
Apart from peace of mind.

Maybe not, but on the other hand. Where is Ethan? He is giving clues and says he is in Seattle but the places he mentions (the IC hotel and Highflyer bar) are not known places in Seattle if you google them.... IC... Eye see..
darn it.. this is driving me crazy! And I haven't been doing this long...
Might as well face it, I'm addicted to ARG.

Well, one reason for accepting an Intercontinental Hotel in Seattle (even though there isn't actually one there) is that this is the same IC where MetaCortechs had their 'meet the new CEO event' a while ago. Reviewing the correspondance of our MC friends about going to that suggests they didn't have to jet off somewhere ... they had it at the IC hotel near their corporate headquarters, in Seattle. It may be fiction, but at least it's consistent ...

Doesn't it also suggest that Ethan's meeting could have been AT Metacortechs?
Do we have any idea what his profession is? Why he needs to be in a different city almost every day?

But don't you think this could be significant? I gather that things are very deliberate in this game. There must be a reason why they are calling it IC rather than Intercontinental, or Four Seasons, or W or Hilton for that matter... I am pretty convinced it is pointing to something...

"I asked him what that meant, and he said he couldn't really say, but if I wanted to get to the bottom of things that I might try stopping by the High Flyer Bar down on the lakefront"
(high flyer = icarus?)
"A Tavern.Pointe Production."
has anyone thought about a possible connection between these? kinda made me wonder if the hackers hang out at the high flyer bar.

Paintover is an anagram of Tavern Point minus a T and an N.

Although no credit to me!
