although I'd like to think otherwise there may be something worth mentioning about this picture, although I don't know what. Also, I feel the need to mention a lot of photos from this ARG come from this site, take a look at some of these people for example

http://www.istockphoto.com/file_thumbview_approve.php?size=2&id=123395

http://www.istockphoto.com/file_thumbview_approve.php?size=2&id=105767

http://www.istockphoto.com/file_thumbview_approve.php?size=2&id=113851

and there may be more, but I don't feel like looking anymore.

EDIT : copy and paste the URLs, or else they won't work

its kanji...not chinese (im pretty sure there is a difference, japanese kanji, for a lot of symbols, looks almost exactly like chinese symbols meaning the same sort of word. some symbols from japan can be recognised by chinese people, just not pronounced, but they still know it means "mountain" or "exit" for example...on the kanji dictionary i found the same symbol as the one used here, it was japanese kanji (even tho the symbol looks more chinese than japanese) that is perhaps why on the japanese kanji it says it means "writing brush" and not just writing)

[EDIT] the symbols are pretty hard to make out, so far I think the top left word is "use" but its really hard to match them...[/EDIT]

the sites linked to the diary/journal/blog thing about Ethan don't have USH on them though

http://www.movabletype.org/

http://www.sixapart.com/

does this mean these websites are outside the game or is another clue or what?

Well Movable Type is some extremely popular weblog software, and sixapart is their own blog - so yeah, the sites are outside of the game - the link to MT is probably just for authenticity, so show that they are using blogging software, it might even be obligatory to show it if you use their software.

So I think we can safely disregard them.
