O.o That's strange. The pages still work for me.

EDIT: While exploring the Odina information at IU, I discovered a post where someone posted a link to what appears to be a blog by our friend Hermod. http://theyggdrasilreport.blogspot.com/ Credit goes to Accuracy on IU for finding it.

I think they might have been working ahead of us... The link to that blog can be found via http://theyggdrasilreport.atspace.com/vindfell.htm. Since the blog is known I won't post a spoiler alert, but in the source for the page there is an imported css file. When you access that file all you see is a url for the blogspot page.

....

Spec: YouTube Video Nicola Tessla Ref

It seems that its possible that there are hints of Nicola Tessla

Some researchers refer to him as the master of lightening.
One of the images matches an image I found of the Tessla Egg http://www.americanantigravity.com/graphics/tesla/Tesla-Egg-640-480.jpg

A Friend also thinks that the video images are in reference to Nicola Tessla's death ray and the town that "was" (their appears to be a debate whether or not it happened) accidentally destroyed.

Anyone else familiar??

I'm willing to bet that the Tunguska Incident, sometimes associated with Tesla, is being used in the context of this ARG as a point at which one or more of these parallel worlds that Hermod speaks of in his blog came into contact with our world.

I am curious if the hammer he references is a weapon much like tessla's death ray idea...

Quite possible. It could also be a Marvel 1602-esque idea, where the hammer is actually Mjolnir. Whether it was Mjolnir or some sort of advanced electrical weapon, it would still have obvious lightning-esque abilities. It's possible that the story could very well be hinting that Mjolnir was used as a power source in Tesla's "death ray".

Did anyone find out what was hidden within the valkyrie.jpg file?

Not that I'm aware of. Is there something hidden in it?

I hope not, but that statement sounds oddly like a PM posting.... If I'm wrong, then please post a spoiler with the detail.

For what it's worth I can't get any of the steganography apps to work properly on my system (running linux), otherwise I would have checked myself. Unless there's a more "obvious" hidden message in the pic.

The picture of Maria on it looks vaguely like one of those optical illusions where it looks like a face, but turning it a certain way makes it look like a word. I used the Camo program and attempted to decamoflauge it, but nothing turned up. Then again, it might require a password, but I doubt it.

And yeah, it does sound suspiciously like a PM posting. I'm going to hope for the best, though.

Just for the record Greyelf is a player who has been around unfiction for a long time. I'm sure he was just asking a question.

Thanks rose *smile*

The image was not displaying correctly on my browser at work, the black background stopped short before the end of the image which in the past indicated that there could be something embeded. But at home the image looks fine.

This old timer (*smile*) will go back to lurking in the background shadows.

New Post on the blog:

http://theyggdrasilreport.blogspot.com/

Spoiler (Rollover to View):

After reading the blog I tried:

http://theyggdrasilreport.atspace.com/tanais.htm

viewing the source of tanais.htm reveals:
<title> what am i? </title>
...
</center/>Vanir, not Ęsir</center/>

Vanir and Ęsir are the two warring group of Gods from Norse Mythology.

Solution:

Spoiler (Rollover to View):

The rainbow on tanais.htm represents a bridge between Midgard and Vanheim. In Norse Mythology the Bifrost Rainbow was the bridge between Midgard and Asgard.

Thus http://theyggdrasilreport.atspace.com/bridge.htm is the solution.
