Two Silver Cards Officially Retired It is my duty to report to the community the following news:
Silver Cards #238 Riemann and #245 Relativity are considered "Limited Edition" and are no longer being printed. This has probably been speculated on seeing as they seem almost impossible to get, but it is now official.
I recently won the PXC film contest and was awarded all wave 1-3 cards from the current print run . They did not include these two rare cards (actually they forgot six cards, but they're sending the other four) and when I asked what was up, this is the response I received:

I hope you don't think we're being stingy with them, we literally don't have a single spare copy of either to provide you, or indeed anyone else. We've never officially announced this, but I guess now the cat is out of the bag!
I don't really mind not getting them since I already have them so this isn't a complaint or anything. They gave me exactly what they said they would for the contest "...from our latest print run." But I thought I'd let everyone know - especially since they are counting on me to

At the moment people get confused about stuff, wait around a while, decide to email us, we email them back, and they post our reply on the forum, if we're lucky.
So if you have one to trade, make sure you understand its value.

Ermmmmmmm, am I the only one that thinks this is somewhat of a strange thing to do, new people to the game haven't really got a chance to get these two cards at all, I'm just glad I've got both of these in my collection already.

Yeah, but if you've only recently got into the game you must realise this season is ending and soon none of these cards will be printed any longer. On to season two!

Seems a bit of a random choice though. Riemann I can kind of understand, but I wonder why they chose Relativity.

I hadn't thought of this, but if Season 2 is so close, why retire these specific cards a little bit earlier?

Does this mean they'll issue replacement cards for those places on the map? Or is everybody else just stuck with scans of the few cards out there?

For a game which cashes in on people's obsessive compulsive disorders and plays on their desire to complete the set of cards it seems a bit off (to say the least) to deny people the chance to feed their habit.

Or maybe they'll issue digital versions...
"You've tried "Easy" and "Hard", now try "Harder" and "Hardest"!
With the Ask Mind Candy being released today as well, and him specifically talking about Reimann, I would have thought he would have mentioned it...

Or how about #254 Escape "Conflicted"?

Yeah, me too. Did we miss some hidden micro-dot or something that they aren't interested in reprinting (added cost not worth it if nobody can find it anyway - but can't print without it in case someone does)? Could have been because it was too easy for a silver, but then why keep T-L-P? Strange.

This news suggests to me that those two cards are more difficult to print than usual - or indeed more difficult to print than cards like Aromarama and Shuffled - so perhaps we are missing something.

This news has really upset me . Ive been working on trading all of red - purple and then buying single blacks and silvers from other places after that.
Now the are a dozen or so people with this card for trade on PPCT and jaffasworld is sold out. (even if they get new stock its for sale at £17.75 ) I think they should do one more run of these cards that you can buy off firebox and maybe opther global websites as singles so everyone can get them for a price of around £5 or £7. Ok rant over.

I'm glad I've got it now but there are alot of people out there who would have bought it last, like me, as it was deemed unsolvable

I can understand retiring Riemann, since it's not likely to be solveable before Season 1 ends, but Relativity is solvable... the leaderboard climbers amongst us are NOT going to be happy at missing out on some achievable points.
