Are you thinking the Stanley Brothers did the movie version? Or were you just going for "The Soggy Bottom Boys"?

Actually, I was going for the movie version. It was recorded by Mr. George Clooney and his version was almost used. In the end, it was the soundtrack version by Dan Tyminski that appeared in the movie. Clooney can sing pretty well, gets it from his aunt I guess.

Burt??

You know I thought of Deliverance -but I don't recall this scene in it. Although now that I see Cath's hint I am sure I am wrong.

(by the way Deliverance is also an excellent novel) I don't recognize the actors except for one who might be Burt Reynolds so I guess Gator or White Lightning.

Sorry, rose, that wasn't a hint! I was being goofy, interrupting the *ahem* threadjack *ahem* discussion about movie music.

Alright, i'm back from the PxC event earlier than expected, and only slightly exhausted. I'll be back later with the answer and a new movie still.

Alright, it's later. I'm back with the answer. And I'm going to adopt a policy of spoilering the answer, in case someone is still trying to guess. (But then, they can't check their answer by posting, and they'll have to look at the spoiler, so maybe this won't be a great policy.) The movie is
Spoiler (Rollover to View):
Jim Jarmusch's "Down by Law"

And now for the next movie. I was torn, having so many great stills to choose from. (When you find the movie, you'll know what I mean.)

Sorry for the flagrant disregard for the rules of this game. I just couldn't help myself.

I can't find anything to support my guess, but Americathon keeps coming to mind.

Hey, no threadjack here. I was merely passing the time inbetween movie posts. It will never happen again.
On to the latest still. Is it, The Brady Bunch Movie?
