I agree with Casandra on the Dirty Harry tour idea. And it makes sense with the idea of a clue to give people a head start... since you can still be a new comer and participate, the first clue given must also lead to the idea of Dirty Harry. Saving the rest of us a major step.

And going through the list, these are mostly fairly easy to find places throughout the city. My major concern is getting around... it does not make sense to rely on public transit (the MUNI light rail has a limited path and the bus lines are both overwhelming and too infrequent to count on) and parking in the city is not always easy or cheap (granted its better than LA), so hopefully the treasure hunt is more elegant than having 500 people trying to park at the Bank of America Building...

I hope they will encourage everyone to form teams, either with folks they already picked out, or with random people at the event. If people are in teams, and have a car, one can circle while others dash out to retrieve stuff.

I know there are two of us coming up from the South Bay, plus we're giving a ride to another person who we therefore invited to team with us. And...our car has a GPS system, so that gives even more help.

Anyone else want to be part of a South Bay Solvers team?

My suggestion: print out the maps you can find on one of the "tour" websites some kind folks have referenced earlier in this thread.

Since all connections to PXC are down, it looks like we won't get Von's last post. Good thing he gave us the hint yesterday.

As a reminder then, Von's puzzle answer is
Spoiler (Rollover to View):
Dirty Harry (The Film)
and maps for the locations can be found at

I think we can be certain that we won't get the last letter but the answer is fitting to SF.

OK folks. Tomorrow is the day! Let me know if you are going. I have three people on my team so I can certainly take one more on my Honda.

I will have my Sidekick with me so Yahoo me at 'ndemeter' with your info and I will see you there!

Smile
