 		A word of caution...
Hello everyone.
This is the first post I've done here and it's sorta of a shame that it has to be about this but it's something that everyone needs to know about.
At 7:15pm EST, after the SF event, I was walking to my meet up point for a ride home.
On the way, I got jumped by people wearing armbands with patches on them, the patches had the 3P symbol on them.
Not only was I so badly beaten that my ribs were broken but most of the cards on me were taken.
They used my Leitmark to identify me and probably had been watching myself and the small group of Cube Hunters in the area.
I don't know if this is happening to other people but it's a warning.
It might happen elsewhere but there are people robbing others for their cards.
So be careful and keep safe.

 		Now, I take it from #syzygy that you are serious.
All jokes (about geeky stickboys being able to beat anybody up) aside, this is probably one of the weirdest (and saddest) things I have ever read about on this forum and I'm not even sure it's appropriate here, as somebody might relate this to the friggin' GAME in some way.
I find this so remarkably weird that I even feel compelled to post about it.

You have my sympathies, man. I'm very sorry this had to happen to you. Get well soon and don't take it to heart.

That said, doesn't it strike you as odd that they didn't rip somebody off for their PSP, iBook, Prada Sneakers...or just their money? Instead they beat up a total stranger because he's wearing a cheap plastic pin, break his ribs and steal his black- and silver-framed POSTCARDS! I just don't get it...

And about the badges...what kind of depraved mad-man/-boy/-wuss takes the time to fashion himself a badge suggesting an affiliation with a fictitious organisation (which is part of a relatively unknown backstory to some obscure game), hoping that somebody sees him wearing it while he's busy brawling and stealing postcards? Man, do I ever not get this...

I know that some people (cough*geeks*cough) are prone to get caught up in other realities (sometimes compensating for the lack of gratification in their own lifes)...but this is just...totally whack...

Two more things:
1. Press charges!
2. Take Martial Arts lessons!

Sorry for the rant, but...I just don't get it!

 		Are you saying that people dressed up as 3P members attacked you, committed aggrivated battery, and multiple counts of theft?

I cannot believe Mind Candy could of been that stupid to have this in game. You could of been anyone with a CCW license and responded with deadly force to a 3 on 1 attack.

Or a law enforcement officer could of seen this occuring and responded with overwhelming force, as well.

If there are people who are wearing PXC insignia to make it seem like their in game, and then robbing people, that's one thing. Hopefully, you made a police report and they will be found.

Unless you are briefed beforehand by Mind Candy, treat anyone who touches you or tries to steal items on your person as the threat they are. Either cooperate or resist depending on your level of training and tools available. If you believe you are going to be killed, resist. Adrian may of been killed over a set of cards.

The way I have come to understand him (also from things he said in #syzygy), that's exactly what he's saying! No joke, no game...I found the whole thing amazingly tough to believe as well (as you may read from my previous post).

This has absolutely nothing to do with Mind Candy...like I said, this should be made totally clear. In no way should the possibility be considered that this was in-game!!
