[ARG] Philipp Retingshof (German) Hi everybody,
Last Monday some people got strange post via snail mail. Some of them
got photos with an url hidden in it. Others got cards and again others
got kalaidoscopes (again with a hidden url). They all lead us recipients
to the weblog of Philipp Retingshof , who is a young restorer in Berlin - Germany.
Within the last few days and weeks some strange things happened to him.
He was been working on an old mirror, when he found an old letter behind
the frame. This mirror belonged to a woman who died in an car accident
some days ago.

I received something in the mail about this as well, and will update this post when I can spare a few moments.

A terrible Babelfish translation:
In deep mourning around our friend Helena Stavros. Your life is divorced there, by death strong hand. But you only run ahead and prepare ours away. We will eternally remember, what connected us together. Full hope for you, stand we wait at the last bar.
I will ask a German friend of mine to assist in a better translation.

The out-of-place capitals in the text at the bottom-left seem to be: LHITHLFWMHIRS. I can get a HTML out of that, but that leaves me with LHIHFWIRS.
Our friends at ARGR have already had some experience with this.

I think you took too many capitals to be "out of place"; German capitalizes their nouns as a matter of course.
HIFMIRS
(um, no, that doesn't translate back to "Help Us.")

I think that last word should be bridge. I didn't think that was the word for bar so I looked it up in two of my dictionaries - one said "bridge", the other "footbridge, path" It also should be capitalized so the out of place capitals should be HIFMIR.
I might have to play this just to refresh my sorely unused German skills.
