[EMAIL] From Keith, August 17, 2006

Subject: what Now?
Sylvia,

Well, by now you probably know how the Council meeting thing all played out on Tuesday night, and how I decided to call in to speak to the towns people instead of actually going there. It wasn't really a matter of cold feet or anything like that, more of the old spidey-sense tingling at the last minute. Everything was just falling together a little too well, you know what I mean? They find Brad's freaking body the night before I'm supposed to show up there? What are the odds of that?

And it kind of freaked me out that Dale and his daughter Meaghan were involved in it all. Don't get me wrong - I couldn't be happier that they are all safe and all that. But, I can't get past the timing of it all. They just so happened to fall into the cave where Brad's body was tossed, right? Out of all the caves out there in those woods.

Anyway, calling in seemed like the best option and I'm glad I did. I mean, the support from my online friends and even that Sarah girl, the one who made the masks, was cool. But how about that last minute prepared speech by Meaghan's Mom, basically calling for my arrest. I've got to wonder if that was all planned to happen with me there, and where I'd be sitting right now if I'd actually shown up.

Am I seeing conspiracies here where none exist? Or starting to realize what's going on behind the scenes?

I'm thinking that the autopsy on Brad's body might actually clear me though, since I understand that his head was still twisted around when they found him. There's no way they can explain that away as something I could have done, is there?

KM

Mine was just a little different. I'm posting the difference:

Quote:
Mountain Girl,

You really think I did a good job? I was so freaking emotional and nervous I thought I sounded like a little boy about to pee my pants or something. Did it do any good? Who freakin' knows? I haven't heard about any change in my status as a "person of interest" back there yet, although I admit I haven't called into the Chief like I said I might either. It's all tied into why I decided to call in to the meeting, actually.

The first paragraph of my email is slightly different since I spoke at the meeting. I've bolded the difference:

Thank you very much for your support. It really does mean a lot to me.As far as whi I didn't go, it wasn't really a matter of cold feet or anything like that, more of the old spidey-sense tingling at the last minute. Got the same email - with a PS telling me he understood about my not being able to call in and that the ones that did worked out fine.

I agree with him that the autopsy will clear him of Brad's death. I wonder if he will give the remaining masks to Sarah or if they will determine that they are best scattered across the country.

My last paragraph is a bit different, as I couldnt attend to the meeting I asked him for a little recap:

Quote:
I'm also hoping that Brad's autopsy will pretty much clear me; from what I understand his head was still turned around when they found him so there's no way this old man's got the strength to do that. As far as a recap of the Council meeting, I thought it was going to be recorded, so maybe that's still coming. I don't know.

I'm not so positive about the autopsy clearing Keith. It sounds like the people that did this know what they're doing - I wouldn't be surprised if they did something to Brad's body to frame Keith.

my email from Keith was the same as everyone else's. Here's what I sent back to him:

I'm so glad that you called in instead of showing up. I was concerned that something might have happened to you. Strange things happen in Aglaura and it sure seems like more than just a coincidence to me that they found Brad's body when they did. Sorry I didn't get back to you sooner, the weather here has been exceptionally bad and I don't want to fry my laptop with the lightning that has been around. I think you should just sit still until they're done with the autopsy and realize that you didn't kill Brad. Hopefully.

Hey, just how powerful and wide reaching are the evil forces in Aglaura?!
MountainGirl and pagrashtak, are you two ok? I'm home today from work with laryngitis!
(Cue Twilight Zone music) Laughing
And, just to keep this post on topic....Keith made no mention of my calling in during the Counsil meeting in his email to me.

I agree, it wouldn't be so hard to turn a persons head around really, especially once there dead. Even if it was something hard to do its obviously not impossible so I don't see how it would clear keith. Also people have been convicted based soley on circumstantial evidence in the past, so let's hope he never gets put on trial.
