last line of message I called the number but I can't record the message sorry.
I am posting because I get a different message - the last line I heard is :
Quote:
"Report all new developments here."
And then a beep.
Having just started to follow this game I wasn't sure what to say.
I wonder if this message had changed?
Also - "sewers" I know it sounds like "sewers" but is this game about taking over sewers?

The main plot could have something to do with Net Neutrality. Although I could just shooting in the dark here.

Ok then for all those who like me are cheap and cant afford to phone the states, I found a combination of 3 programmes, forum trawling and a little help from Rance allowed me to get a nice recording! Enjoy.
Ok well at 1.07 secs into this file there is a strange blip, zooming in and changing the pitch gives a strange sound but cant work out what it is yet. Have attached it though.

part 2 sounds like a backwards sonar ping. Maybe you need to use ping on a server or something. GJ rus.

I pinged landalan.org and tried the IP of 64.111.102.152 as the code. No luck. Tried wth and without dots both forwards and backwards, no luck.

If you load part 2 into audio software its wavelengths look very uniform with a few rough patches at the beggining and end.

Literal Maybe we're taking this "analyze the noise" thing in the wrong way. I just called the number four times in a row (to make sure I wasn't missing anything - damn cell phones) and didn't hear anything other than the generated voice. I even held on after the beep for five minutes, just to see if anything was hidden, but nothing popped up. So what if "analyze the noise" means something other than analyze the noise?
On the other hand, what about taking the computer-generated voice and running that dialogue through a sound editing program (Cool Edit, Pro Tools, etc.)? Maybe there's something hidden underneat the voice. I apologize, but I'm at work and can't use the equipment here to do it (deadline's comig up too quick) but it sonds like if you took the voice, passed it through a multiband EQ and dropped the low frequencies, it might drop out altogether. Someone could have hidden a higher-frequency message at very low volume underneath it.
Anyway, just a thought...

Anyone notice the similarities in the phone dialog?

Didn't the technologic page say to analyse the noise....I still don't know how to determine the password from a simple waveform beep....already tried sonar and ping. It still sounds to me like sonar if you shrink the play time down. Maybe submarine.

Hey folks! I was interested in the Urban Hunt ARG a while back, then kinda wandered off... now I'm back, because this looks interesting.
What strikes me as odd though is the phrasing on the technologic page. "The normal number". Most people would say "The usual number'. I'm wondering if that has anything to do with things. (Normalizing the audio or something? But I dunno if that makes any sense!)

Ok in case you dont have a good sound manipulation programme here is the sound wave. Its at 3 dif speeds, so i dont think we would be able to determine anything from the distance between the peaks and troughs, but it could be the peaks and troughs themselves that are the code.
Alternatively it could be that there is a particular thing or function that would cause this kind of wave. Its been about 10 years since I did physics and I sucked at it, throwing it out there for those that can

OK, how about taking it even more literal.
It says "analyze the noise." Maybe we have to analyze the WORDS "The Noise" and somehow find it from there.

Okay, so following up on the Normal Number thing I said, I went to google and searched for "normal number" and "noise analysis" and got pages like this:

I bite at mathmatical things. Anyone able to determine if this could help?
