New ARG seemingly launched by UKs National Theatre! Follow the Rabbit...
http://www.irabbit.org/ntt/
Looks an intersting way to use an ARG to promote theatre...

Looks interesting to me. I'll send this rabbit an email and see what happens.

Fun lookin'
Clicking on the capitalised words leads you a merry chase around a couple of pictures, mapquest, and Flickr.
Anyone know what's at SE1 9XX?

Emailing the Rabbit gets individualised replies requesting the answer to a question: Is all the world a stage?
Answering this question leads you further in...
The location on the map is where a set of signs (accessible from the postcard) are drawn - you have to do something there then call a number.
Don't know the protocol about spoilers on these forums so I don't want to ruin it, but it's extremely fun!

Haha, a whois reveals very little about our lagomorphic buddy. His name is apparently Doc Rabbit and he lives at the BT Tower in London.
By the way, on www.irabbit.org , there is a different email address to rabbit84227SPLAT yahoo.com for Rabbit: rabbitSPLAT irabbit.org
I'll email them both a little later

Do you mean do something on the map, or at the actual location? If so, I'll have to let someone that can actually get there handle that, lol.

There is a LOT to this game, which really requires you to visit the theatre if you can. To start you need to email and reply to the Rabbit, and search through the NTs site.
Spoiler (Rollover to View):
Have you found this?:
If you perform a search for 'Umbrage' on the NT site, you get to the 'Page Not Found' page.
If you follow the link from there to the 'Sitemap', you get a lot of useful way to navigate Rabbit's Warrens.
Under 'Umbrage' is a new site:
www.nationaltheatreertaeht.org.uk
This takes you to a heavily distorted set of words and images. If you 'Select All', 'Copy' and 'Paste' these images into notepad, you get the following:
It's close, feels like there'll be a storm tonight.
Yesterday evening I went to the back of the house to see if our theatre was still there. And there it was. Let me tell you something. It's lonely. It's fucking lonely. People aren't happy.
I have missed you, my friend. There is no one here I can talk to like this. Your presence will be such a help. It is hard to know anyone but oneself. Some things one should not ask. Trust is to be earned. Is it not?
I, who have seen the summer's roses die
And all their petals pale and shrivelled lie
Upon the chilly ground: I know the truth
How evanescent is the flower of youth
I stood on a ship and cried out "The shore is moving away." Today I know it is the ship that moves and the shore which stands still. Reason, my friend, does not get us very far. Common sense is dry diet for the soul, you know.
I feared something. I am not sure what. Now you are here. I can see you. Why do you stand like that near the door? It makes me nervous to look at you. If you stand by the back wall of the lock up, the light's better there.
In these peoples' minds there is a terrible restlessness. And they project their own restlessness onto the physical world. Look to the world, and how things are outside these walls.
Things that no one has ever told: things to make you groan and cry out loud I'm lying. And perhaps I am. There is one person in all this who is not a fool. I am though. He and I together. And sometimes I alone. But not quite alone. I told you.
I see them as frightened. I see their eyes wavering. I see them lost and betrayed. "So no one is watching us..." that's what they'll say. "We're here. There is no role for us."
"Love must be free or else it alters away" you will tell me. But I will never know. Never in this world. God is not watching us now. First he doesn't exist, then he vanishes! We are alone. We all must do what we must do.
(pause)
I've told you: the material world is an illusion - what counts is the world of dreams. Look at you - hope, lovely hope, it's on you like dew. Do you know where you're going? Into the forest, a hundred miles of dark and screaming. The dark we all came out of.
But gentlemen, please. Does it look dark to you? No, I can see a sort of faint grey light.
Will you not look through it? An infinity of questions await.
This must be linked to our quest - note the repeated quotes heard on the websites and in the phone messages! We've just missed that meeting, but what's on Wikipedia?
This is all linked to the disappearance of one of Rabbit's friends, Jenny. Her MySpace is here:
http://www.myspace.com/jennyblenheim
There is also an interactive mapp to record clues on:
http://www.irabbit.org/ntt/mapp
Happy hunting - there's a LOT to this and I've got much more if people want it.

And a response from Rabbit.
Me:
Quote:
I am interested in the adventure promised and the
> rabbit making the promises.
The response from Rabbit:
Quote:
Hello Kris, this is Rabbit.
I am interested in anyone interested in me. But this
is a promise we promise to make together. Anyhow -
how are you? I am burrowing through concrete - cries
havoc with the fur - and am currently consumed with
the adventure that is unfolding from
www.irabbit.org/ntt. Have a look there and if it
intrigues you then drop me a line down the 84227
rabbithole.
Else talk to me more here - the more we talk the more
adventures may open up to you anon.
All the best wishes.
Ohhh very exciting.

Seretar, how did you track down Jenny's myspace? Also, that location on the riverside, would you be able to describe what's found there (or better upload a pic?) for those that are a little further away.
cheers

Google Surprises I google'd for `crossprocess`, which appears at the bottom of the trailhead. I found out that it's a phrase that refers to devloping one type of film with the chemicals usually used on a different type of film. One of the ways photographers got effects before Photoshop.
Not content to let well enough alone, and not 100% positive that the link down there was as innocent as it seemed, I googled for `crossprocess rabbit.` The fifth link is 1) in-game or 2) a fake. Not having a direct link from one to the other is kindof offputting.
It's in very much the same style, and can be found at
http://www.dannyberzon.co.uk/rabbit/assembly/
Thoughts? If you believe the link at the bottom is what it claims to be, the same guy made both sites, per contract. He's not a well-known designer, however, as I have a hard time finding that email address mentioned anywhere else.
I emailed both rabbit emails and got no autoreply. Didn't try emailing the "designer" if that's really what it is.

Another update from the rabbit. To anyone curious, the rabbit seems to be personally sending these emails. Also, I got a reply from the 84227 address. I also emailed the address on the site I posted above, and no reply. Either the rabbit noticed I had emailed multiple places (as (s)he did by not replying to my rabbitSPLAT irabbit.org) or the other site is not run by the same person.
Here's my reply:
---
Hello Daniel, this is Rabbit.
Excellent to hear from you although we must hop on if
you are not to be too late late. What to tell you
first of this unfolding adventure… the mysterious
fragment clipped to the card at www.irabbit.org/ntt is
definitely something of the National Theatre (but that
damnable extra 'T' is at the heart of the mystery…
what does it stand for?). My friend Jenny who works
as an usher there at the NT found it. But now she has
seemingly vanished, and stranger happenings are afoot.
I can tell you more – but one question for you first,
dear Daniel, before I point you towards the entrance
to the first adventure:
"all the world's a stage" – do you think so (and is
there a story why if I may be so bold)?
All the very best wishes.
ps
If you search for me in nationaltheatre.org.uk you may
find something of interest?
pps
time hops on and the gate closes soon so do hurry so
as not to be late late for an important date (2
September)
---
Looks like more concrete clues than what I saw anyone else post. The second T is part of the mystery. Also, September 2nd marks ... something. Some sort of a deadline?
More pressing for me, at the moment, is that I cannot get the theater website to load. It always times out. Grr.
Edit: In the source of the random googled page, I found a hidden link. It links to a page that likes, in turn, to www.irabbit.org/assembly/, which is the same site as the mystery site. So it is official. I just probably jumped way ahead of where I should be, though.

Hi guys,
anybody emil the mishap phenomenology guy?
reckon he's real, or IG?
sent a short email to him to put feelers out, and he seems to be offering 8 pairs of free tickets to go and see shows next week, to 'observe for mishaps'.
mishap phenomonology sounds rediculous, but who knows with theatre types?! might be a ruse to get some of us there??
what do you think? clutching?
EDIT: More I think about it, the more i think it's real. I asked in my email if he knew rabbit, and he said the more he heard, the more intrigued he became. doesn't sound IG.
Seratar: how did you get the myspace link etc? can't find the trail you took.

Where to start.... I want to make sure not to get ahead of the game too much, so I will post only what I believe I am supposed to have found....
New email from Rabbit, very similar to Negativeview's but here's a small difference with the questions I asked.
Quote:
Hello Kris, this is Rabbit.
The concrete beds the South Bank into which I am
burrowing. I yearn for a nice bit of soil (ideally
with some vegetables protruding...).
A search of "Rabbit" on the National Theatre official page brings up a couple of articles
http://nationaltheatre.org.uk/?lid=19861 talks about the Rabbit image in the brochures and the NTT fragment.
http://nationaltheatre.org.uk/?lid=20195 A blog mentioning Rabbit on the August 9th entry.
This is fun... I am going to email Rabbit back regarding the World as a stage. See if I get more information.....

Looking at the forthcoming schedule for the 2nd September one title caught my attention Hopefully it means nothing.......Simon Daw
The other events on the 2nd September appear in the backgroud of the mixed text page
When I asked Rabbit about Simon Daw, this is what he had to say:
I know that Mr Daw has oracular powers but is not necessarily delphic - is there a question you have for him too you'd like to share with me?
This looks exciting.
