Ok I got a lot to say, first to j15bell.
I started this whole thing so I kinda felt that a lot of those comments were at me. May not be what you felt, but I feel like I should defend my actions.
Let me just say that my big speech at the begining was to inspire not to shun. I thought that saying stuff like "this is our turf" would get people fired up. Thats all. I never said I didn't want new people to join. To be honest I flt we were rather humble. Our first couple of post were people saying how unhelpful they were going to be. That is how the whole "Team seatbelt" thing started.
2ndly I did it because I'm not that smart. Hell look at this post I bet there will be like nine misspellings by the end. So when it comes to looking down on people who didn't come up with the right answer, you are looking at one. I mean for my last guess I put in a lighthouse. Like I said for the start. I didn't care who one, I just wanted it to be soemone I talked to, so I could cheer for them in the end.
As for secret chat rooms, The only time I remember chat being talked about we said that we should start one, but never did.
Lastly I did this because I WANT TO DO THIS SHOW. I thought I could find some smart people here for next year. (RPG I an looking at you)
Now that I think about it I think someone said we were being cocky on the first or 2nd page, I think I said that it was just for fun then.
So maybe saying it was our terf was to mush, but it was right up our Alley.

OTHER NEWS
Anyone get the text about where the truesure hunt will be held? Anyone still planing on going and trying to get team seatbelt on the TV?
Couldn't find any news about them doing it next year, but I would still like to do it with you guys, who's in?
Yes my phone is still broken.

... eek... I'm sorry if my post was taken the wrong way. I know I tried to get a chat started a few times but that was more of a group of people watching the show type of thing. (which i didnt get to do since i'm PST and most everyone had seen the show before it came my way, in fact because I value the opinion of the people here I didnt watch the show and just stuck w/ the online game) As far as the "small chance of a winner looking in here" it was more of a drat if none of us won maybe we helped someone else. I wasnt in the volvo thing so I cant speak for there but I enjoy when there are more hints and help than less spoilers. I promise you here in UF you will find a group of great people who enjoy being challenged and working together to overcome such challenges. I'm sorry if you experienced something other than that.

Watching the finale is painful, given that I'm a local to Washington, DC. I keep thinking "this would be a snap" given that I know all of these landmarks. Why, NBC, why didn't you pick my answer?
Okay, perhaps its because I was slow and not the quickest in solving the puzzles. *shrug* Anyway, I agree with Uncle Louie: how do we get on this show? Team Seatbelt would have fun with this.

Teamseatbelt would win hands down. Got to admit did not see the FSKEY coming figured they would do something different. In a way they could have just hit every symbol in the room.

I was screaming FSKEY at the screen since last week. It seemed painfully obvious to me. I probably would have tried it even before entering that room.
But then again I was sitting in the comfort of my own living room and I did live in in the Baltimore Washington area for almost 10 years.
Who knows.

If they do a season 2, and that Laird guy hosts, I will boycott the show on principal. Not only was his delivery brutally robotic throughout the run of the show, but watching him flounder around the stage last night, trying to disrupt the joyous celebration to get the three winners to a certain mark on the stage was my breaking point -- I shut off the TV at that point and "lost out" on the last 80 minutes of the finale.

LOL yeah the finale was more of a fiasco. Poorly planned, obviously not rehearsed, and poorly executed. My big complaint is that instead of replaying almost the entire scene of the geniuses in the secret chamber (which everyone had just seen 10 minutes ago) they could have allowed the teams time to actually finish their sentences when asked a question.
Also, as many people pointed out in chat, I really didn't care about the online winners, and that was possibly the easiest treasure hunt I've ever seen.

Man that thing was easy! Anyone one of us would have rocked that!
In anycase, I would like to do this show next year. So much that I had a dream about it. Though out my dream I had diffrent team mates, here is a list of who I remember.
2 unnamed team seatbelt memebers
MY dad
My uncle
my girlfriend
Past school mates
Hulk Hogan
Rick Flair
a zombie
Cournal Sanders (the KFC guy)
Some random pot head
a cop
and an esecolator repair man.
If you are one or more of these people let me know.
Any yes I really did have this dream.
