Hey all. Been following a few ARGs for a while, this is my first active posting, though. Pray forgive me if I do it wrong.

Spoiler (Rollover to View):
The cathedral is the Cathedral of St Vincent de Paul, in Tunis, Tunisia.

EDIT:
Spoiler (Rollover to View):
And here's the page of the photographer who took that exact picture: http://www.mccullagh.org/photo/1ds-4/cathedral-of-st-vincent-de-paul

However, I can't come up with any combination of that information which will get me farther.

We have our update on the updates page :

Quote:
Welcome operative, you are now receiving updates

Keep your phone close, and your recordings closer.

Next update: 1156834800

Which decodes to 08/29/2006 7:00am GMT.

<sigh> Wish I could do the phone hookup thing here but I doubt the PM wants international calls being charged to him when they send the replies Wink Looks like the phone calls will be important.

Many thanks for posting the beaufort solve cvk - its going in my Landalan 'scrapbook' for future reference (along with the sound recordings, etc. ) Smile

Bit stumped on the login page - tried assorted combos of what looked like keywords from the 'valentine' page with no joy. Will keep looking.

someone try image manipulation... de-steg, contrast, bit planes, etc... it could be hidden in the image digitally, it could be hidden in the image visually, it might just be something relating to the image or the building itself...

Spoiler (Rollover to View):
after you enter the location and building name on Valentine.html, the site briefly goes to http://www.landalan.org/tests/culture.php (u can't go to the page directly) before going on to http://www.landalan.org/tests/auth.html

in the source of the culture.php page, there is:

// userName( -- third -- );
// passWord( -- w7ERvVx2 --);

the bold part is different everytime you hit that page. hitting the page repeatedly and looking at the third letter only, i noticed that only P E R Z H Y appeared.

which led me to: username: third, password: zephyr

next page: http://www.landalan.org/tests/geometry.html

Also on the page source is a link (circle.png) that leads to a drawing of a circle.

I think they want us to, uh... make dots? Or plot something? I know nothing of geometry.

Could be they want you to find certain geometric values using the circle in corelation to a something else, say maybe a triangle? I'm not sure I just opened up my basic tech math book and thats the first thing to jump out about circles.

The circle is a decoder ring. The numbers are relative to pi. Start with the top as A, like in the picture, and letter clockwise around the circle putting a letter every 1/26th of the way around. The numbers correspond to the angle in radians where the specific letter is found. The whole list reads:

Spoiler (Rollover to View):
Taking the numbers at the end, seeing that they're radians, I assumed 26 letters and found that each number was a multiple of 0.121 radians.

Replacing each number with their corresponding letter (starting at 0=A) takes us to

NOTTOOSHABBYHEADTOGALAXYHTML

http://www.landalan.org/tests/galaxy.html

edit: argh! you got there seconds before me Razz ok, minutes... I even refreshed first to make sure. bah

Why is the html called galaxy when it's showing a picture of our solar system with the sun blocked out in the bg?

taking each of the bodies in the system, not sure which direction yet, it appears as if it's:

Halley's comet
Charon
Neptune
Uranus
Saturn
Jupiter
(not sure, it's an asteroid)
Mars
Earth
Mercury
Pluto

the 'UNCH' looks promising though... or the 'SUN' letters
and the sun 'blocked out' in the background is a solar eclipse

bah so it's just the order of the planets... how'd you find the image so fast?

so the names are missing. that's all we've got unless there's something hidden in the image
