Alrighty! I registered as a scientist, hopefully I will get some more info that way.

Just for everyone else's reference... I am the Director of Electromagnetic Research at the unPhysics Research Institute... are there any other "staff" who are going to participate?? Very Happy

steorn

I did the registration as well thinking it was an ARG.

(emphasis added)

Well I'm becoming somewhat more convinced that this at least isn't real, if not an ARG, which is why I now registered. I've become more confident of this because of the "coverage.html" page, which lists several news articles that don't exist, including the one from April 1st about the free energy announcement. Now as far as I know, a "real" company is not going to have writeups on their site about fake articles. That is something which is very ARG-like.

Thats Steorn watch, and has no connection what so ever to steorn.

That just doesn't make any sense. You can say it's your opinion that Steornwatch is a different entity, but clearly they have a deep connection - one exists solely to watch the other. If Steorn IS an ARG, Steornwatch (with the proxied domain) may be its ilovebees.blogspot.com, if you will.

If it isn't, well ... frankly, it seems just as sketchy to me as Steorn. Too many people hiding who they really are makes me reluctant to believe any of them are legit.

If this is an ARG, then, going by the way things have been handled this far, it's probably safe to say that the PM's will know better than to post to unFiction.

That said, I think we should take steornwatch (the uF user), who posted earlier in this thread, on his word that the site is not related to steorn.net, except that it watches it.

I see a flash file in there - where's that on the site?

Never saw it on the site, but when I clicked on the link, nothing downloaded.
But the link is still active, try it yourself:

http://www.steorn.org/ is no longer the management portal page that it was this morning. It is now a generic cPanel "No site at this address" page.

Damn their covering every open hole quickly. Confused

Edit: you can cycle through the hotspots by pressing tab!

The flash file was meant to be overlayed onto a picture, try and see if you find out which one if anyone dled them b4 they closed it up.

I checked out that Team Biographies pdf and can't find any connections to jobs and eduction they claim they have.

I only did a brief search but I can't find Roger Hatfield involved in any big 4 consutant firm and I can't find michael moriarty in the list of alumni at Trinity College in Dublin.

Now its sounding really sketchy.

Keep trying to locate that pic, it should be a group photo....I'm almost sure it was in that directory b4 it was closed.

edit:I fired off an email to sean and two others.

weird

I pulled apart that flash and got some weird stuff.

lemme know how i can post it all for you to see.

it contains everything you see and the silhouettes of the members it also has a button thats says "Titulo ejemplo".

Looks spanish but i'm not sure what it means. If you do a search for those words it comes up with this

http://www.enredate.org/educadores/centro_de_recursos/actividadestipo/reaccion/juego_de_rol/actividad_ejemplo/
