 		[probably trout]THF.org is not up.
Yeah, this has probably been said in a thread a long time ago, but THF.org isn't up anymore. It now displays the "THF has been hacked..." flash thing.

Any reason why?

Scroll back thru a few posts and you'll see this mentioned. If you noticed, your post was moved from elsewhere to this, our trout-free questions area. So no, you don't really have to "trout" yourself at all :)

I expect to see this question crop up a lot his week, after that Mittelwerk commercial aired on TV here in the states. It shows the URL to the original website, so newcomers to the reality won't know what's going on. If they are patient and diligent, however, they can use it as a trailhead to Act Two websites and characters, and hopefully find out the backstory from there.

 		Ok, after debating where to put this I decided to stick it in here. I have a question for those of you who have been following the Experience and have played in other ARGs. How would you rank the Experience in comparison? I come to you, the experienced players to learn your opinion. This has been my first ARG, and I wonder how it ranks. Please feel free to PM me with your answers, I am not looking to start any arguments over enjoyment, just how the experienced community has viewed this attempt.

I love the vision - at least 3 phases. Lots of video. An occasional puzzle.
It has a story line.
It hasn't imploded.

However, there are tons of things that I don't like.
In the glyph hunt, half have been given to us in posts by Speaker & ninja. The other half have either been available on the web before active on the site (like vaccine) or have been active on the site long before available on the web.

There have been numerous mistakes - asking us to find the location of the island - we find it off the coast of Canada, then they have to backtrack.
Rachel gives us files that are almost but not quite the same as files we saw when she was persephone (2006 vs 2004 newspaper clippings) then those files magically change.

The IM's from dslerator and "mandrake" I hate. There is a very blurry line between in-game and out-of-game. That goes for Speaker & Ninja, too. I can never tell if the "puzzle" they give us is of their own devising, or from the PM's.

I prefer e-mails that go to everyone (like the last one from Rachel) rather than IM's that only go to people on-line at the same time as dslerator. (Granted the ALL-CAPS e-mail may be a little loud).

I think they have a ton of content, but are dragging everything out. At the end of "phase 1", all the updates were "THF is bad, THF kills babies, THF steals walkers from old ladies". We got the point.

However, despite the problems, I enjoy the puzzles that do come up, and look forward to seeing the finished sri lanka video.

Yes, please, no more direct replies here. Let's not use this quick-questions-answered-here thread for a place to debate the merits of our game. If there isn't already a suitable discussion thread, you're more than welcome to start up a new one in the META section -- that's what it's there for. It's a good topic!
