nope, I know I'm looking for an URL, but only getting gibberish from the program so figured I need a password to get the right answer.
I guess the alternatives are either it's the wrong program, or I'm doing sthg wrong, or there's some further crypto work after the extract.

Oh yah, that! No, you don't need a password.
I never could get the online version to work, and the C one required a bit of debugging to run on my linux box.
I can post the solution of everyone's got that dead-end feeling.

posting the solution kinda makes me feel inadequate, but it depends if there was much more to do after decoding it. If there wasn't much then go ahead, if there was you could maybe just post what the correct decrypt was?
FYI what I got was:

ode,ooio
eehtaC.ebvh
ora ininibltetm-obhid-obhioa tfosaernrio

That's what I got when I tried the Java applet. The actual solution doesn't require further decrypting.

Here is the URL that you get when you decrypt C4:

cool. okies the text in the boxes is
Spoiler (Rollover to View):
base 64 and translates to "what you seek" "is not far above" which implies it could be the picture especially as it's different from previous ones
EDIT: don't see anything obvious in the picture source, or with Hex Editor, so don't think this is a steg - tried Camo & JPHIDE just in case - no joy
EDIT2: Noticed that the picture changed from a jpg to a bmp so tried Blindside too. nothing there
Could be I've done sthg wrong, I'm no expert, but I reckon it's something else. I'm thinking the pic is wingedman2.jpg, and the URL gives part2 so is it sthg with this? EDIT3: removed spoilers as they weren't giving an answer

The pic is, as you say, wingedman2.jpg -- wingedman1.jpg is used on the landing page after you fill out the form on the front page.
The two images appear identical and have the same dimensions, but they are different filesizes. One is 96dpi and one is 100dpi.
I have layed the two over each other and the only differences are a few pixels here and there which could be jpeg artifacting.
I have tried URLs invoking every permutation of which I can think of "part2", "wingedman", "not far above", and "icarus".

I've tried similar with URL too, and got nothing. Given there's that slight difference in the pics there could be a steg involved - it's just a case of finding the right one. Based on the basic checks I've done it would have to be one of the better steggers.
Could try Stegdetect? although I read mixed reports on it's effectiveness (again I can't do anything at mo as in work)

You were VERY close. Your quote of the encoded text gives you the clue that you need.
Spoiler (Rollover to View):
"what you seek" means to use JPSEEK, not JPHIDE. It does work. Actually, use JPHSWin. Click "Open jpeg" and follow the dialogs. Then click "Seek" There is no password just leave that blank and follow the dialogs. A text file will be outputed and you will get the next URL.

can't beleive I was so close - teach me to read the instructions properly! duh.
Now to crack this last code.
Spoiler (Rollover to View):
first block is B64 for Decrypt the following to reveal the final passcode
but the binary isn't a straight translate (didn't expect it to be somehow)

If someone's around can you post the binary here? I'm working from my phone due to a power outage.
