Official message on thematrix.com

Someone pointed out this new message on thematrix.com site, in Breaking News:

November 6th, 2003----------------------------

Go deeper.

Path/ViaRevolutions/ThirdSlot/top/EmbeddedDVD/0x(31)+0-F/ZionArchives

TheMatrix.com

If you go to the navigation at the top, there is a button area for Revolutions, and the third slot at the top says 0x0AC01BFA instead of a link to a page.

Thoughts?

0x(31)+0-F would mean 31hex (49dec) '1' and if you subtracted F from that, you'd get 21hex (33dec) '!'

0x0ac01bfa is hex for '180362234'

:)

This seems most likely to be an Enter The Matrix cheat code.

It's a new type of code...first they had binary...then hex...but someone cracked the hex panel and decrypted it, and then wrote a program that anyone could download that gives you a list of all functioning hex codes. The official site webmaster saw all this and added some funny comments, heh...but yeah, he knows all about it. The program stopped working a few days ago (yesterday?)... they've converted to a new encryption scheme thingie. Very Happy

Yeah now they have 128 bit encryption. Before it was 32 bit encryption, which was preceded by the binary coding. Heh, I'm sure the 128 bit hex coding will be rolled out over time.
