If he's urging us to keep going then maybe we have to crack the thing on our own...or what he's sending could have something that helps? Back to the grind

Put "burns his food" into an advanced google search comes back with Jesus and Yeshu, it seems to be a phrase for a heretic.
Have tried the names with vignere and beaufort but got garbage.
Just a thought.

Burns his food, is also a reference to pagan sacrifices....Already tried pagan and got nothing. Also tried christ and got nothing.

here's the tool I've been using to try to crack the cipher, although with no success so far. It works for vigenere, so if this is a beaufort, I don't think it'll work, although it should I think, at least in terms of key analysis. It would decipher incorrectly even with the correct key though I believe. Would need a beaufort solver for that.

I've been using this one, simple java applet style.

UPDATE: He burns his food has changed to 'He berns his food...'
and the ciphertext appearing in the source has disappeared.
First stab at research: There is a famous restaurant, the Berns Salonger, in Stockholm, Sweden. So far neither Berns, Berns Salonger, Snerb or Regnolassnerb work as keys for either vigenere or beaufort. Someone may want to double check me on that.
Bern (Berne) is also a city/canton in Switzerland... the WSIS meeting was in Geneva... seems a stretch.

No probs, Its a long thread, and these things get missed now and again, its better to raise it and be proven wrong than not to raise it and we miss something. tbh it was a very small footnote that the message had been changed so not a horrific trout, welcome aboard

Spoiler (Rollover to View):
it's encoded using a Hebern rotor machine (he burns, he berns... get it?) with the key being "hisfood"
UQPBM FHBLG OMVEN SHNXY JRQHT HGBBD
CSRHO WETIH SOIFP FLWAS UUYWN WXWXG
CKZZP FXR
decrypts to:
good work visit this page between six pm gmt and six thirty pm gmt for your next test
I'm thinking the the next test is the stuff that was found added to the source (but no longer there), here it is again for easy reference:

<!-- JFWPJ SMGDB PJDLD LZDFF AXXLW UMHOA
ZWQUQ UNAHZ PKOGR JPEMJ REOP -->
fyi, it doesn't decrypt with the method above...
EDIT: yes it does
