James Avery's directory info I searched for thios and couldn't find a thread dealing with it. forgive me if it has already been dicsussed.
But is there any significance to the number 94. XCIV appears in his directory info. we are all assuming we are supposed to have filled in the letters. that may be correct but this could also have double meaning.
point me to the thread if this has already been discussed

Code:
Na e: Aver , J es
D pt x c iv
You mean from this? I don't think those are Roman numerals.

[SPEC} New idea:
x c iv
x=10
c=100
iv=4
The math term slips my mind but to make these 3 numbers work together they have to have the same number of digits
010
100
004
merge them together
010100004
does this new number mean anything?
like i said before. i am one of those guys who just wants to think outside the box. In circumstances like these puzzles, i am not usually the guy who solves them, but i am the guy who starts the brainstorming. I throw things out there that get people on a train of thought that leads them to the right answer
in this case, i am just throwing out the random ideas popping into my head

The mostly accepted theory is this (the bold stuff is what was missing):
Nam e: Avery , Jam es
De pt: E xe cut ive
You can probably find the thread where this was discussed if you search.
If you take just what was missing, you get this:
myameeute
Doesn't look like much there either, so probably no importance to that.
I won't dismiss the theory about the roman numerals, but it doesn't look like there's anything else "hidden" in that message.

Yeah, i figured all that out already. to me though, it seems everything in this game has a reason for being there. Case in point, what has the absence of those letters contributed at all to the puzzle? I think there's something to this that is worth more discussion. Just a thought

Cant remember who solved it for the life of me, but I'll happily give props where they're due becuase this was a bloody feat of mental gymnastics.
The myameeute (missing letters) are a reference to that Gridiorn game those crazy Americans play (yes, I know I'm leaving myself open to cheap shots about the cricket and Aussie Rules, but it's worth it. ).
From memory, it refers to the Miami - Utah game which fell either on the same day as the release of the Reloaded DVD or Zero Hour.
This is going back forever... I honestly can't even remember what thread I read this in, let alone who did the solve.

Just to open up random brainstorming, let's say the PMs assigned Avery the title of Dept. Executive *precisely* so they could hide "dptxciv" in a non-obvious way. (An obvious way, for example, would be to show the whole title but bold the clue as above.)
What remains [NaeAverJesDptxciv] is also displayed as 10 then 7 letters, which my mind tries to use as a pair of phone numbers. (yeah, it's rather hard to dial an X on most telephone pads.)
For some people, they only look for the missing letters [myameeute], as if that is the only practical way to treat this as a puzzle. Or maybe the garbled directory info is there just to set the stage and give the game some ambience. It might not be a puzzle at all, but I'm willing to entertain alternative theories on how one might hide a puzzle -- if only to hone our skills to be able to spot a similarly designed puzzle in the future.

I'm not sure if it's a puzzle we can solve, or just something "weird" that they'd like us to acknowledge; but I think a similar puzzle already exists : http://forums.unfiction.com/forums/viewtopic.php?p=26781&highlight=#26781

meh, for what it's worth, i noticed this but i think there's little reason to think our friend Caesar is none other than C EO Ja mes A ver y.... This is old stuff but i don't think anybody pointed out how you can see it by highlighting the letters of that phrase. Plotwise, it seems all but obvious, especially given Scratch's recent expose....

Really? I think it's been widely determined that Caesar is a teenager... Avery is missing, and we're pretty sure that he's the older looking guy at heismissing.com and in MLO's "dimitri" jpg files.
I'm not seeing the connection between Caesar and Avery at this point.

wild unrealistic conspiracy theory..
although I'm sure its been pointed out, if you jumble up the letters, you get 'eye am mute' which obviously signals that oct 1st is about avery, and how he can see, but can't speak like a young child, no matter how his/her mouth hangs open.. And in addition to that, may make him the guy running around in the woods unable to speak..

I'd put money on Caesar being little [James Avery]/[Ethan Nekoda] Jr.
