Having studied these sequences of numbers there are a few things that strike me.

1) There are (could be) four sets of numbers. i.e. upright, upside down, left and right.

2) These four sets can be arrived at in two ways - i.e. relative to the card and relative to the puzzle.

3) The digits may refer to card waves rather than directions. The initial pre-release being wave 0.5.

I don't see yet how to use the cards - but will keep trying.

Okay, so I've been playing with ways to assemble these strange shapes into a coherent whole.

Spoiler (Rollover to View):

They seem to roughly assemble into an island shape by joining them in sequence by the number of the card they appear on, but I don't recognize it. I could have assembled it incorrectly however, so thoughts on how to improve that welcome. It sort of looks like Japan, but not quite.

I've also attached some outline drawings that I made if people want to play with it.

Also note that 222 & 253 are exact duplicates... I think they were both included to provide redundance among the rarer cards.

Ideas welcome.

Good picture PPH! Some bits work really well, others hmm, but there is potential. The first thing I thought was some kind of river or lake - as well as island. Away to live.local.com to search the entire planet!

Hmm.... to me, it looks like it wouldn't need much rearranging before...

Spoiler (Rollover to View):
if you flipped it left-right, it would look quite like Italy, too. If I get time later I might have a fiddle with it.

Nice work, it's definitely got some potential.

here is a big but hopfully not too big a picture of Japan.

I just remebered way back the start there was a video on the project syzygy website which at the time we were sure was taken in Japan.

At the time we thought it was due to the video talking about cultures and how they have took westeren culture and is the same but also so different.

Thread was 30 pages long http://forums.unfiction.com/forums/viewtopic.php?t=8964&postdays=0&postorder=asc&highlight=japan&start=0

Happy reading if you want to go though it Surprised

Comparing what you've got to the image of the risk board, to me it seems to look most like:

Could you tell us where you got this picture from? From a (scanned) risk board game? If so is it some kind of deluxe version or basic version? (not sure how many versions there are). Does it have pieces that look like infantry/cannons/cavalry etc or are the army pieces very basic? (maybe the pictures of the infantry/cavalry on the cards point to a certain version of the risk board whose territories match the blobs)

Do you have pictures of this same type from all territories? They could be interesting because of the way the borders are drawn (many "straight" parts which is different from real maps)

Its also possible the blobs are countries inside the risk territories and we have to find these countries by matching parts of their borders with the borders from risk territories (keep in mind risk territories usually represent several countries).

If you have any more scans that would be great Smile.

Its from the offical site. If you go to http://www.hasbro.com/risk/default.cfm?page=atlas you can click on each country to get a large picture of it.

From the combined pieces I have to say that they actually appear more like the East Coast of the US.

191 area corresponds nicely with the Virginia/North Carolina coast. There may be issues with the pieces to the extreme north and south however.

There are any number of pix if you google east coast US but here is oen that shows a bit of the Canada coast that looks a bit like some of the pieces. link

OK cube hunters, I was watching HGTV yesterday> a show called "I want that" (stick with me here...) and there was this designer who made "minimalist" scratching pads for cats, well she did so by using a program that would take a word, and turn it into a X-axis and Y-axis value. Only thing is that the line value for each word....(wait for it) is EXACTLY what the lines arnezami has looks like.
Each set of numbers, it's a word. seriously, we need to find this program, and just run it backwards, so the lines turn into words.....
*I almsot droped a load in my pants when i saw her screen, it's not close to what i feel is right, guys, i think this is Spot on!*

yeah, i'm quoteing myself, so??!!

In all seriousness, I have contacted her, and it's totaly NOT the right idea. ALSO, apparently people have been hacking her site to try to get the code, don't bother. I guess all i did was waste our time(not total a bad idea Embarassed ), and hurt her website (but she did get some hits!)
