No Trespassing, I didn't even think of that. If these events happened as long ago as we're lead to believe (at least two years) then if Kat is associated with this all of her MetaDex writing may have ties to this event somehow.

Don't know if there is significance, but in the no tresspassing picture, if you look at the floor tiles at the far left, there are four of them that are numbered with three digits each. "199", "099" and the other two I can't make out...

I noticed those too, I'm just not entirely sure what to make of them. They could be distance markers, it's really hard to put them into context until we know what that location is.

Katgirl's password for MetaDex: notrespassing (No Trespassing).
Look at that picture:
http://metacortex.netninja.com/ethan/chicago/12.29.2001/20011229029.jpg

My guess is that Katgirl is an agent:
Look at her metadex account: It looks like she is spying Beth, probably because Beth is finding bugs in the matrix and her mind becaming free.
And now this picture!

The social security ID number is not valid, it resides in unassigned address space. (mid 700s to 900) I can't even do a death index search for surrounding numbers, to aproximate the age.

What is it?

Hmm ... high, strongly-built work tables (the kind you stand at rather than sitting in front of), covered in stainless steel. Flooring is industrial looking ... some kind of tile, except for under the tables where we have non-slip rubber matting (or maybe concrete). Along the wall to the left, a drain? I think I see a little water here and there, so they spray it down clean after use. Industrial lighting pointing at the tables?

Perhaps a meat-packing plant?

I talked about the possibility of katgirl being an agent back here

Regarding the number on the sign:

http://www.leg.wa.gov/RCW/index.cfm?fuseaction=section§ion=9A.52.070
Quote:
RCW 9A.52.070
Criminal trespass in the first degree.
(1) A person is guilty of criminal trespass in the first degree if he knowingly enters or remains unlawfully in a building.

(2) Criminal trespass in the first degree is a gross misdemeanor.

[1979 ex.s. c 244 § 12; 1975 1st ex.s. c 260 § 9A.52.070.]

It looks to me to be a place to fill out forms of some type. Perhaps an immigration area? The standing tables and well lit surfaces make me think that.

The table tops actually look marble to me. Plus, notice the no smoking signs on all the pillars.

This is supported by Beth's account of Katgirl in her e-mail:
Quote:
Not only is she new to the company, she's from my department and I'm not even all that sure of what she does for us. She's in the department, and she shows up for departmental meetings, but she doesn't seem to have any of the typical responsibilities. It just all seems out of place and I'm not sure what to make of it.

So by that reasoning, MLO would be an agent as well, since she is reporting stuff to him. And we also have MLO looking for Avery.

Sometimes my head feels as if it is going to explode...

I hope this helps out somewhat. I tried to type the entire Marriage Certificate out:

Quote:
This is to Certify, that the undersigned, a Minister by authority of a license, bearing date the Seventeenth day of April, AD 19(86?), and issued by the County Auditor of the County of King did, on the 23rd day of May, AD 1988 at the hour of One O'clock in the County and State aforesaid, join in lawful wedlock Ryan Stephen Emerson of Redland State of Washington and Sylvia Rochelle Wood of Redland State of Washington with their mutual assent in the presence of Dennis Shipland and Heather Cl_______ witnesses. In Testimony Whereof, witness the Signatures of the parties to said ceremony the witnesses and myself this 23rd day of May, AD 1988.

Witness _____ Officiating clergyman or Officer

(signature) (Ryan Emerson) (Rev James R Starr)
(signature) (Sylvia Wood) Rev. James Richard Starr

Seattle Municipal Code 12A.08.040

More of the same for SMC 12.080.40 ... although the sign is a little off in terms of how the Seattle Municipal Code looks now:

SMC 12A.08.040 Criminal Trespass

With the location of Seattle in mind, I revise my earlier suggestion to be a fish-packing plant Very Happy
