That's great. I've got my Spanish exam in Wolverhampton in October.
I was worried that I'd not learnt Spanish with a Black Country accent, but it won't matter any more. I knew after all that intellectual stuff about Borges, Perec and Cat scratching posts it would come down to slade in the end.

Earlier in the game, there was a referecne to something called "Electric Splash" (on the You Are Cordially Invited card, IIRC).

Now we've got someone calling himself "Combed Thunderclap".

Could there be a connection between "Electric Splash" and this "Combed Thunderclap"?

Bit of random spec I just thought of with this Viard stuff cropping up...


Viard obviously has some kind of crazy scientific knowledge, as his music was deemed psychologically dangerous or whatever. What if he's mixed up with the kind of people with the knowledge to, oh I don't know, create a wormhole to Earth....?

What if Combed Thunderclap is Viard? We know Cyrus/V planted the message on his album... perhaps he knew about it all along? Perhaps he and V were working together, and now he's got cold feet because he knows what a sick sick man V is?

What if Viard IS V all along, and we've been terribly mistaken??? No, that's going a bit far.

Viard is notoriously reclusive, (there was that thing somewhere, I think it was Hesh or someone who said he'd never really met him, the music just popped up on his desk or something.... I'll go trawling for the quote in a minute) so it's not as if he'd be missed if he went on a journey to Earth??

And the libraryofbabel page is very arty, like Viard

I had some more arguments, I just can't remember them just now.... another tasty treat for the Spec Monster, but something I had to write down to stop it going round my head!
