OK I do not believe the emails aer sent based on your entries, I received an email 2 hours before i entered anything.
The email is from taskmastersplatlanda-systems.com
and was sent at 01 September 2006 22:36:25
There was nothing in the email other than the attached picture.
It says on the first screen:
Quote:
You will be called upon to help us achieve our goals by relaying, collecting, encoding and decoding information for us. Many will be codes, some will be other information, all will be different, and most will not be sensical for any one operative, (to protect information security, of course).
So I believe everyone needs to check their emails and once we collate all the pics we can extract the info needed and solve this problem. (Mine was flagged as junk so do check)

unfortunately you uploaded a BMP... can you find that file again, and make sure it's actually a jpg file? the file size should be about 55-60kb. This one is over 260kb. Sometimes IE will convert to a BMP when viewing an image, which is annoying. If the file is still in an email, you could forward it to someone who could get the attachment as a jpg.

Each posted image has text embedded in the code. Open in a text editor, and you'll see:
n1|2_165: finish up. Several countries have opposed our planned course of
m1z9g4_180: have been interesting. The world seems to be ready for our plan, Landa, and we are waiting for your end to
m1z64_206: Landa -- you must deliver us the internet. Things here in New York
Edited: took out unneeded tag. The one image I haven't listed here has gone through a file type conversion which has changed the original code and any embedded text. Sorry!

partial solution OK the whole text is :
Spoiler (Rollover to View):
Landa -- you must deliver us the internet. Things here in New York have been interesting. The world seems to be ready for our plan, Landa, and we are waiting for your end to finish up. Several countries have opposed our planned course of action however. The United States has been surprisingly noncompliant, as has China

here's the correct n1o2.jpg, giving the last correct text segment (assuming there are four)

[SPEC].
So I take it that means we are missing 16 pictures in total.
And potentially there are only 20 operatives (although I doubt that)
I've submitted my piece, waiting on a response now

yeah, and I'm pretty sure the minor text changes and the news item are there to clarify what we had to do... instead of joining the pieces and submitting as one, we're only supposed to submit our own piece. They are watching us.

Yup. I had a gmail account I was specifically using for this and never got the email. My operative status however told me to update it. So I have, and I'm hoping it will resend the picture.

What E-mail are you guys using, every time I log in, it's warning me that google is intercepting the e-mail.
This must just be a generic message as I have used my hotmail, yahoo and @mail addresses with the same results
