Very cool Smile Do you want to add a poll here as well? Or would you prefer people indicate interest by posting in this thread?

If possible could they vote in the poll on the Perplexorum? It's just easier if everything stays in one place!

It doesn't seem to be possible to vote over there unless you register as a member? Given that, you'll have to mark me as a virtual 'no'.

That's in place to stop guests posting 100s of "Yes"s and "No"s Razz

It's open membership as far as I'm aware.

Nono it's definitely open membership- free for all!

Surely as a politician, even a Lib-Dem, you would know you need to register before you can vote. Laughing

Well, considering it's not so much of a vote as a collection of number - but never mind. The man posting under the pseudonym above me speaks the truth.

I'll tell you, politics worked a lot better before they made the mistake of extending the franchise to the common people... I'm all for one man, one vote - but only if I can be that man. Laughing

My point is not that I *can't* register there, it's that I don't *want* to register there. One forum's quite enough for me to keep up with at my advanced age...

Would anyone like a Werther's Original?

The 'Comedy Cafe' is very close to the bar and it might be a good post-bar thing to do. PM me if anyone is interested in coming along and I'll see if I can sort out cheap tickets.

Good point. But to my mind, the logical extension of agreeing with that point is to respond here.

Sadly, I can't go as I live on the wrong side of the world. Hope everyone going has an amazing time. Though I imagine that an amazing time is a given.

Cheers!

Ladies and Gentlemen,

Its time to think of our brethren in the far off countries who won't be able to attend Cubefest.
Those hard up people for whom it is just a dream…

I'm talking of our American cubehunters!

I believe that it should be possible to have them come over for Cubefest and enjoy the weekend!
Right now, they are going to be either driving around in their cars aimlessly, shopping in huge malls, sitting in front of a computer, or flicking through all 2 gazillion channels on tv for that weekend.

But we can help!

I'm asking everybody to dig deep within their souls (and pockets) and do the right thing.

For $700 we can bring a Lhall to London
For $800 we can bring a Cassandra to Cubefest! (AFAIR she told me she's from New York(?))
And for $1000 or $1300 (depending on whether he want to drive to Sea-Tac for a 8am flight, or go to Portland and take connecting flights) we could even ship BrianEnigma to the UK.

There are many, many worthy people and we can all help!
So what do you say?

Look deep in your hearts and help these worthy people

Chalco
Cubehunters in need.

erm...no

Sorry, nothing personal, but no.

No.

You could ask my family whether they'd rather I did this or got them Christmas presents. And shouldn't there be a ballot to decide who comes? And what about the Antipodeans? And Scandinavians (you could get two Norwegians for the price of an American).
