Lucky Canadians... This game sounds like it could be a lot of fun. Too bad about the entry fee though.

www.torgame.com. Looks like some fairly experienced ARG players are making this game!

From the about us page on the site - actually a bunch of people, some of whom have prior ARG credentials, including:

David Fono
David is a graduate student at the University of Toronto, where he researches the way people use technology. . . . He has always been interested in gaming, and came across the ARG genre early in its inception. The idea for TorGame came to him one night in a feverish dream; from there it was simply a matter of recruiting a crack teams of creative geniuses in order to make the idea a reality.

Lindsay Mills
Travel Counsellor by day, Alternate Reality Game designer by night. To say that Lindsay is no stranger to ARGs would be an understatement. Upon discovering this genre of online gaming back in 2003, she has since had the opportunity to immerse herself behind the scenes and help create several successful grassroot ARGs. After running her own news and information website dedicated to goings on in the ARG world, she now co-owns and administrates Immersion Unlimited, a forum specifically devoted to Alternate Reality Gaming.

Tony Walsh
Tony Walsh is a Toronto-based artist, writer, designer and cultural critic. . . . He has recently worked as Game Designer for Toronto's Xenophile Media on two alternate reality games based on the TV series "ReGenesis," and currently teaches a postgraduate course on Game Culture and Design at George Brown College's St. James Campus.

I'm so pissed. I live in Toronto and only found out about this today. I posted in the 'need a team' forum but if anybody on here is playing and would like another player, pm me.

And one of them is someone well known on these forums (I'm pretty sure the aforementioned Lindsay):

Wink

Stiffy77 (and any other Toronto lurkers) - if you're still looking for a team to join up with, there is one more information session scheduled for tonight. Would give you a chance to meet and greet with other players.

Hope to see you there!
