I'm gonna start paying attention to Perplex City and see if I can kill that game, as well.

Confused

Using the software, the team was able to see that seconds before lonelygirl15 had sent the note, someone had looked at Seth's profile. This visit was the only one the profile had received in 17 hours, suggesting that whoever was at the controls of the lonelygirl MySpace account looked at Seth's page before sending the message.

The IP address of the user who sent the e-mail was the private server of CAA in Beverly Hills.

CAA is a big-name agent who also, coincidentally, represents 42 Entertainment.
Funny enough, I was talking about it the other night. They probably just embedded an image into the email/webpage. When it's opened the image is pinged and an IP left behind. Confused

I think the same trick was used during ILB and possible MU too. Embarassed

There's now a chat room on #lg15.

Some of the posters from http://alissabrooke.proboards56.com/index.cgi have come over, and I say howdy!

isn't working for you? sure, you have to "download" jpilot, but other than that.
I was able to join #lg15 easily. Good luck.
Also, if you work doesn't like port 6667, try 6669 (i've had issues like that at work)
If it doesn't work, let us know. I believe there are some others out there.

Thanks, but the standard ones don't connect through the work El Grande Firewall. I have to use those other ones that are web based, not java.

I thought I'd check http://www.lonelygirl15.com/forum2/viewtopic.php?t=36 again for an update from The Creators.

Hm? Whaddaya mean, "page cannot be found"?

And then...

How's that for everyone else? Did they take it down? Or did somebody with the same ISP as me get banned? Confused (Don't look at me like that...I promise, I'm totally innocent!)

Same exact results here.

Game still on? This looks like an official release.

I think the LG15 site was probably taken down by the site host because of traffic. Kinda like a Geocities site. Not sure whether that was poor planning or supposed to add a layer of reality (but given the Message from the Creators, my vote's not on reality).

As I recall, the SQL error messages it was throwing last night pointed to "webhost4life" as the hosting company, which doesn't seem like the kind of high-end service that would stand up to a pitiful UF-ing, let alone actual mefing and boingboinging and farking and etc. and so on.

well, i just watched a video from her entitled "Should I or Shouldn't I" where she talks about wanting to go to the party. The parents think that she needs more practice.

To us, she says she's "doing her exercises, memorizing passages, and learning a language that no one's spoken in..." and then she hears her parents arguing in another room.

I went to get the URL to mention it here and the video isn't available any more. It had been there for about an hour.

ARG?

Heya Folks. Only a few days ago did I first stumble across ARG's and lonelygirl15. I have to admit, I'm addicted already. I've lost a whole day and a half trying to figure out if LG15 is an ARG or not.

It seems to me that if it is indeed an ARG, the recent comments by Brian Flemming on his personal page (with accompanying photo) suggest that people quit trying to peek behind the curtain and get on with trying to solve the game. In this case though, I think it's more like get on with trying to find the true rabbit hole...

Does this make any sense?

It's not looking like an ARG, it's really one sided. Very little interaction and the people who did get to interact, were back in august or july. Nowadays, has claimed(I know takin her on her word isn't advised but the facts relating to this fit.), lg has upwards of 1200 messages waiting to be answered. This can just be described as either some really well done vlog, or a new type of visual entertainment using vlogs as a vehicle for a story.
