True. The interactivity does seem to be lax...but I just can't shake the feeling that there is a game here. There just seem to be too many "subtle" clues dropped, saying there's more here under the surface. It smells like an ARG.

Perhaps the traffic and the massive attention have cause the signal to noise, for all parties involved, to grow beyond what is managable. Or perhaps mindputty is right, we've been so focused on trying to peek behind the curtain that we're not actually playing the game. That does seem to be what Brian Flemming is hinting at...and he is obviously hinting.

I can't shake this image of two people playing tennis in the dark.

Are we positive that the "Creators" are authentic? Because it doesn't seem like that letter bears the same fingerprints as the material the we know is genuine. It completely breaks with the style shown so far and would defeat the purpose of the vlogs. I mean that's why we, as ARGers, find it so tasteless.

Of course it could all be true. It's not an ARG and never was...just a narrative told through an exotic medium, or simply a viral marketing campaign. That would be a shame, but it's entirely possible.

Has there been a serious effort to decrypt and dig into this? I mean we do have it listed under "timewasters".

Anyhoo. I'd love to hear a definitive answer about the "Creators Letter". Did we actually get a proof positive answer to this?

I spent some time on google image trying to identify the painting on her wall to no avail.

If this was all just an interesting vblog, then why try to hide things in it, like Crowley's birthday?

Her last video posted an advertisement for eyespot.com, and I suppose that it could finally be the viral advertising that everyone thought would eventually show up. Since I'm so new to this, I don't know how to do things like check the date eyespot.com was registered, etc, so I can't compare that to what we already know.

Anyway,

Cheers

I don't remember seeing an advert in any of the videos...maybe I missed it. Yeah, it could be viral marketing.

Someone more seasoned with puzzles than I will have to confirm or deny the presence of such, I see things that give me that "there's a clue near" tingle...I'm just not cool enough to tackle it yet.

Time will tell I guess.

PS: I too tried to figure out what those buildings are in the picture, not to mention the other things we see around the room, but no dice.

The end of one of her most recent video has a motion still for the site. Then again, I don't know about YouTube, so it could randomly just put stuff at the end of people's videos as part of the user's agreement.

Has anyone done any stenography on the video files themselves? There are a few places that could have some stuff embedded - for instance, in most of her videos, the cuts from shot to shot are all good, but then in one video, there are black gaps between. Perhaps to make the audience believe that she is editing those videos without Daniel's aid? Who knows.

Anyway... any more ideas on this one?

Campylobacter.
So, I'm still treating this as an ARG and the crazy YouTube commenters have noticed "campylobacter" as a keyword for her latest video.
Bacteria? Why? Question

What if the "Message from the Creators" is also in-game and is another layer of reality? I'm secretly hoping that's the case. Razz

New video. She has a bandage on her arm, but doesn't mention it. It's one of those you get after you get blood drawn or something.

The ads are just on lg.com, right? On youtube, the place where this all started, there are no ads. Might just be a way for this "fansite" to make money.

I just noticed that starting September 1st, all lg15.com videos are not youtube embedded, but hosted on revver.com where lonelygirl15 has an account filled with her and Daniel's videos.

Revver offers video hosting similar to youtube, but their model involves embedding advertisements in each video you upload, and also paying you for views you get.

I believe eyespot.com is just a Revver ad, not worth worrying about.

Also worth noting is that the Revver vids are QuickTime, not Flash. They are of a much higher quality and do not exhibit the YouTube artifacts. That means that whoever uploaded them did so from the source, the direct output of the video editing program. Which is further proof that lg15.com is owned and operated by "The Creators".

Looks like the ad that I was talking about isn't at the end of the vid I was talking about anymore. I think that it's a random ad generator that YouTube uses with its vids - it randomly puts it at the end of some vids sometimes. What with the date the website was registered, it probably isn't associated with LG15.

Interesting painting on her wall, don't you think? Thanks for the link and the research there, addlepated. A close up of it kinda mirror's LG15's own life - a young woman looking to express herself on the balcony of her own house, in a very exhibitionist way, while overlooked by a older person, who is reading a paper of some sort (presumably, educated?). Works for me.

I think the bandage is one of the more ominous clues yet. I'm more interested than ever.

I think that website looks fishy. A dentist, in his free time, checking out LG15's molars, and spending the time to set up a website to debunk her?

Anyone interested in what Danielbeast keeps in his photos on photobucket.com? What do I mean?

Well, on Bree's website, she has a picture called "Buddhist Shine Guardians - Phuket, Thailand", which is cropped from it's original form from www.visualrelativity.net. You can't download the pic from the site directly, because of copyright. So, either Bree or Daniel had to have gotten it from the artist herself (or of course, screenshot it from the website, which I guess would be a copyright infringement). Anyway, looking at the source code, the image is referenced from the folder:

http://s102.photobucket.com/albums/m87/danielbeast/

which you might be able to take a look in, if you were any good at password hacking... not that I'm advocating that at all... ahem.

I'm going to try to send an e-mail to the photographer to find out what she knows about lonelygirl15.

I'm just randomly spewing out odd things that I've noticed. Another one that just seems weird to me is how on her youtube account, she's explicit about how she is NOT lonelygurl15 (who is a "faker"), and yet her myspace account is lonelygurl15. That could just be a practical obstacle the creators had to overcome if there was an existing lonelygirl15, but still seems a little weird to me.

Also, after reading more about Edward Hopper, the artist of the painting on her wall, the use of Hopper seems all the more appropriate, since pretty much all of Hopper's paintings seem to exude a strong theme of loneliness.

Well, that's all for now.
