I just had a thought.
Maybe cassie didn't put the card in the box and we missed what she wanted us to find.
The card could have been put in by the myspace Cassie or Bree or Daniel.
After all, she said " I DON'T PLAY CARDS"

I second that (CU did an awesome job).
I just feel mindf*cked.

I'd say CU did an awesome job.
I do appreciate the nod. Thankyou!
I did everything I thought I could...granted I could have release images of the card earlier...sorry...I didn't want another "look! Bree's fake!!!" fiasco. The suspense for that was killed.
Also, the fine print on the back border of the card says:

This seriously makes poor Cu look bad. Gah. WTH do we think now?
Lame?

That's from the deck. It's the mythic Tarot deck.

Yeah, great job Cu. It sucks that it looks like you/we got played, but good job none the less.

Eh, life goes on. I had fun tracking it down, this last part was annoying, but still not a bad way to spend a day off. ;)
So much of this doesn't add up, I can't make much sense of the whole ordeal. First off, how did the CassieisWatching ppl know where the original video was shot? Even if you knew the area, it's hard to distinguish one pool from another. There are many on that river. That makes me think that the youtube account is an extension of lonelygirl15.
The Myspace also has some things that lend some credence to it being canon. The real lonelygirl profile and, from what I can tell, the real Jess Rose profile are in her top 8...wouldn't the real lonely girl distance herself from an imposter?
It may be a hoax or an ARG/Scavenger hunt that's unrelated to lonelygirl. It's incredibly complex, though. Someone spent ALOT of time making that video and planting the card. So maybe someone snitched the the real contents and left a fake tarot. I'm leaning towards that, just because of that "i don't play cards" response.
I'm gonna go sit on the roof a bit and breathe.

the card I am reading the book right now.
The card has different meanings depending on where it comes up in the spread.
But who we see on the card is Hermes. He is playing the role of the psychopomp, escorting newly-deceased souls to the afterlife.
Hermes is the Olympian god of boundaries and of the travelers who cross them.

In the video, there was something in the pool, near the prominent white marks on the rock. It's visible at 0:38-0:40 in the video. What was that, was it a rock? To me it looked like another bag. I was very suprised when the bag turned out to still be on the shore.
CU, you were there, what was the thingie in the pool?

You can say that again! I think I'm only going to pay attention to this forum from now on, since you guys care more about actually solving the puzzles than blaming everyone and their mother for everything...
*deep breaths*
on that note, if you aren't too worn out cu, I was wondering if there was anything special about the cloth that the box was wrapped in? Maybe we can't see the forest through the trees? (This is, of course, assuming that this isn't an elaborate hoax... which in itself assumes that this *is* an ARG... crazy).

There were several large rocks holding the bag in place.
Now...I didn't put a mask on and head in for close inspection...didn't seem likely. The water is very clear, so I think I saw everything. You never know though. If we get a hint, I have no qualms about going back.

So I checked the cloth, nothing to speak of . maybe I'll try a blacklight if I can find one. The box is pretty common. you can pick one up nearly anywhere. But it's pretty nice anyway. I'll post some pics of it later, but one of the first things I did when I got home was check the box itself, it doesn't hide any secrets that I can see.
