[EMAIL] Wes, September 15

Thank you for thinking of my son Shadow, but I've already contacted him.

I am indeed familiar with the history of the Mystai, however I believe that may be only one of their many names. I would exercise at least some caution in dealing with a group or organization with their past. Are you in contact with this Simon? At this point I'm not sure why they would be looking for me or what they'd have against me, but I don't scare easily. I've had run-ins with people and groups like this many times since I left. For thew most part it's just them blowing a lot of hot air.

So he's already told Todd. Is anyone here actually in touch with Todd Keeler?

Got this from Wes earleir today. In one of my last emails I asked Wes when he first made contact with JD.

Quote:
Sorry I missed the question about meeting J.D.
I had come back into Aglaura somewhat covertly, after I became aware of all the weirdness happening here with memories, Dale's story, and other things, to get a couple of things from my old store and from one other place. Remember, this was before Iris Page took over the place and I needed to get (and leave) a couple of things. When I came out of the old Emporium around two in the morning, JD happened to be going by, on his way home from a late night at the municipal building I imagine. The way it happened there was just no way of avoiding him, even though if I wouldv'e known how it would affect him I certainly would have tried my best.

I wonder what he retrieved from the store.

Ok I think this is pretty good stuff

Quote:
Yes, Sam isn't quite the person I remember. And I know I've hurt my friends, I can only hope to make it up to them in a very meaningful way.

Once we had found and gathered the runestones during that time Dashcat, everything changed. Just not in the way everyone expected. Things should have been, in all likelihood, restored to how they were before Dale's original wish was made but that didn't happen. Instead of a single wish being reversed, I think that many wishes were granted, all at once, some over a period of a time and in subtle ways, as wishes sometimes are. And my own - my inner desire to be free from the responsibilities of everyday life and the concerns of running a business and to have the ability, courage and means to seek out the mysteries of life, to have the freedom to set out and discover the truth about Mount Analog and how my son got involved with the 307. I felt trapped by my existence as "respected citizen and EOTW store owner" and my wish was heard.

I sent this

Quote:
Wes, If you remember me then you must remember Sam from before the changes. We were all helping Dale reverse his wish. Do you think someone else made a wish? Did you make a wish? Because when we were all finished doing what we had to do everyone was present except you. We were very sad. Sam has left Aglaura for awhile but she is telling us not to believe you. She can't believe you would be so cruel as to let her suffer the guilt she felt about your accident for over 3 years.Sam is different in this reality.

Some incredible revelations from Wes:

Quote:
In answer to your question, I remember Dale, myself, and some online friends helping find and gather the runestones and that somehow, once that happened, everything changed.

Not in the way everyone expected. Dale and I had discussed how things would be restored to how they were before his original wish was made but that didn't happen. Instead of a single wish being reversed, it seemed to me (now that I've had time to think about it) that many wishes were granted, all at once. Including my own inner desire to be free from the responsibilities of everyday life, the concerns of running a business etc, to chase after the mysteries of life.

WK

Here's what I had written to him:

Quote:
I agree that it's best not to tell too many people of your
return. I've told my friends who are also helping you that
I think only Dale and Sam should be told. Since nax wrote
them we haven't heard anything. I'm hoping to hear from
Sam tonight. She and I have discussed her situation with
you in the past.

I do have a very important question - which you may or may
not want to answer. Do you remember?

I ask this question because of what you said about Dale
and his graphic novel.

I sent another letter after this one, and before his reply, stating my concern over Sam and how she's taking things.

So, as we have suspected, Dale was not the only one to get their Wish granted. It's like when his Wish was reversed many others got their wish.

I received the same messages soI won't re-post.

Seems that the story from CTW1 IS important now. Glad that we have been gaining bits and pieces along the way - thank you to all who have been shring your CTW1 experiences & knowledge.

Perplexing thing here is that, even if the other characters gave us info that only Wes would know - he may truly not know it - since he apparently remembers what the original reality should be and not so much the altered realities

I'm wondering if I should let Wes know that I was one of the online friends he mentioned. I also wonder if he'll tell us who else seems to have had a wish fulfilled.

I certainly hope one of them is that Sam was a guy who wanted to be a girl. Smile I don't think I'll ask about that one. lol

Sandra, that's what I was trying to get Wes to talk about in my email to him ( see above). He admitted Sam was different but not how. I sincerely hope we get to the bottom of Sam's wish before this is all over Smile

It doesn't seem to me that making Sam a female is just something that can be ignored. This should be interesting to see how they handle it. I like the idea of Sam being female - but don't know how they can square this with all that went on in CTW1 - though the graphic novel does have Sam as female. ::sigh:: Maybe it's just a glitch in reality.

Mount Analog?

I have an exceedingly dim recollection from CTW I, something about the struggle between Avalon and Analog...

Anyone?

[SPEC] Regarding Sam being female this time, is it possible that 'her' wish was because 'he/she' felt love for Wes, but being male, was uncomfortable with the idea of being homosexual?

Shad0, I'll go look again, or maybe do a search on the archives, but when I was re-reading the re-cap last week I ran across a reference to Mt. Analog and I think that's the name of the project that Don was working on in CTW1. Will do some research.

RH, the issue of Sam just has to be a tough one - but I'm trusting that there's a valid explanation. The only thing I can think of is that for some reason in CTW1 Sam wanted her identity to be masked.

As far as where I've been during my absence, in short - wherever I needed to be to track down the information and answers I was seeking. It took me literally all over this country, and beyond. The things I found would take weeks on end to relate and most wouldn't be pertinent anyway. Some of what I found out has to be sought in a personal way to be understood or internalized. To keep it as simple and brief as possible though, I did find some answers to some of the questions that have consumed me all my life, although they weren't necessarily the ones I was looking for. Although my "quest" involved seeking out the truth behind various mysteries, the hidden knowledge of so-called secret societies and groups, and so on, there was a deeper level for me as well. In a very real way, this quest was about finding meaning in life, and trying to make the experience I had just had with Dale fit into my understanding of how the world functioned.

I feel whole somehow now, and coming home was the final part needed for me to feel this way. I know that to be truth.
