Naw, he also writes pretty well for a 13 year old, in terms of spelling and all that. I would guess that he's more in his late teens (especially since those pics of him could have been taken a while ago). I would not be surprised if a ~17+ teenager were a good hacker...

Yeah, at 17 you could be pretty good (without having to go read books and practice every day from the age of 11 lol)

But i don't think the AI man in the woods was Caesar/Jesse. More likely the kids in the woods were Caesar and Scratch (the girl in the pic?)

Did you mean to say Random instead of Scratch? I don't think Scratch and Caesar will be hanging out together any time soon. Very Happy Also, I think it makes sense to guess that Scratch is a guy, due to his comment about singing falsetto, however that line went...

Now I wonder who Random is... yeah, I could buy it being the girl in the picture. Random could easily be female...although I don't know if I want to acknowledge that after Azathoth's comment (I think it was him) about only females being that devious and obscure... Twisted Evil

Mr. Green

Never mind...Random is definitely a guy. Quote from not.jpg:

Random's golden, and he saw the same things I saw?

There we go, Random isn't the girl in the picture because he's male. Take THAT, Azathoth! *muahaha* Mr. Green

that line is written wrong...

Quote:
Random's golden, and he saw the same things I saw?

why the question mark at the end...if its a statement, which by the way he opens the line it seems like it, then it wouldnt have a question mark...a question mark would suggest he is askin someone whether he saw the same things as him.

I can only guess it is an error on behalf of the PM's, but if its not...why the question mark, who is he asking?

=/

Yeah, I was wondering about that. Sometimes I find myself automatically inserting question marks at the end of statements when typing because I would say the sentence with a question-y inflection if I were speaking. Example... "I don't know why blahblahblah...it may be because of blahblahblah?" Something like that may be the explanation for this...

I am not going to hang onto the hope at this point.

If anything, I'll share a little. If it helps. So WHAT if you don't trust me? Random's golden, and he saw the same things I saw?

Are you on board, or not?

The question may be unspoken here. i.e., "So WHAT if you don't trust me? How about considering the fact that Random's golden, and he saw the same things I saw?" Dunno...

I don't know if this has been said before.. i have read through this thread as much as i can, and please excuse me if this seems stupid, it's my first contribution to try and solve the mystery and all... only just got in on this... but...

[spec]
Have we yet considered the possibility that the man may be a broken program from the machine world? If we believe that this story is set within the world of the matrix (which we may or may not), then the Oracle says that programs such as these can shose to hide in the Matrix. True, this program does not quite conform to the status of "ghost" or "vampire" etc, but it may explain why he pops up with Beth as if out of thin air several times... on her Metadex there is an email describing him at the door of her house as well. If we do indeed believe that he is a broken program, would this not explain the inability to communicate?
[/spec]

just a thought. Sorry if it's way off track guys.

I'm not sure if it's been discussed specifically in this thread or not, but yes, it's believed that this guy could very well be a program. We've kind of tried to avoid using direct ideas from the Matrix movies, but is't been speculated that at the very least our AI man is some sort of artificial intellegence robot, and, as you said, possibly a program. I think we have to wait and see what develops a little more before we can be sure exactly what he is, but your speculation definitely hasn't been ruled out.

Omnie... I would like to withdraw my pervious comments about Random being female. Obviously, the male mind can sometimes match the female of the species in terms of deviousness... Laughing Wink

However, unless Caesar is a girl, which I guess is a possibility, does that mean there were more kids out in the woods? Or that Random and Caesar were off somewhere else (say, Cascade Vortex) where they got a "false positive" on their little search for the paranormal and the kids in the photo are just some other, non-relevant people?

I'm getting confused... there's just sooo much in terms of plot going on right now and I'm on a huge catch-up spree after the weekend. We'll have to wait and see how Beth goes next time AI man shows up on her door... tell you what though, it would've freaked me the hell out... Shocked Smile
