I think we need more pictures.

Can anyone make out what it says at the top of the pictures? My eyes hurt from all the squinting.

Also another thing I noticed, probably irrelevant but if you play around with the translating like Ardiente did you can come up with this.

"Hello you all - Yia'sas"

Just throwing that one out there for you.

I can't make it out either, and at work don't have any software that I could use to clean it up. Zooming in on it, it looks like an overlay of some sort -

Hey all, just though I'd announce my prencense in this, having not followed an ARG for ages, just thought I'd mention, although it probably isn't relevant... the quote in the Warning 'You kill them all, you're a god' etc is also from a Megadeth song. Probably useless but ah well, hi all.

All right. Closing up shop for the day and heading home.

I thought I would offer a few more points before I go.

In the picture if you examine the writing that is vertical you will notice that it is of a different color than everything else and also the clearest thing in the picture, which leads me to believe that it was added on top of a pre-existing picture. It also seems that the writing at the top was intentionally blurred. Perhaps this is to keep our focus on the vertical phrase.

I looked in to symbolism a bit. This may already be known but just to put in your head for thought.

-A cross often symbolizes the Christian religion or the supreme sacrifice.
-A lance symbolizes the weapon of death.
-A pick which is what the item at bottom resembles symbolizes mortality.

Another item = Jesus was hung on a cross, with stakes (picks) through his hands and feet, a crown of thorns (similiar to roots seen in picture) and then stabbed with a lance (which I read "lance"as one of the blurred words).

I can't wait for some more pictures.

Well done layloken! To refine the translation - I'm at work at the moment and we have greek fonts on my pc, so I went over to Babelfish... The fish says our phrase is:

It comes for you

I don't suppose you have PhotoShop or anything else to clean up the fuzzy writing at the top of the page.... Smile

ETA: Ok so I was squinting at the blurred writing to see what I could make of it, and "lance" was all I was sure I was seeing. I started searching and came up with this - I have to run into a meeting so I haven't had time to do a lot of research. But thanks to the 'fish' again for translating the first article.

Arrggh, This is what I get for wasting so much time with the cassie crap. I think I'll dump that and focus on real ARG's.

My greek is not fluent, but I can translate it well enought to confirm the findings. I'll pass the image trought photoshop tonigh to see if I can make something out of the letters on the top.

Have you noticed how the 'sword' has a horizontal line across it (right oer the 't' of the greek letters). Maybe is not a sword at all.

I wish the good dr was writing to me. I guess If I find anything good and tell him he'll reply.

Well, I emailed the Dr. a while back telling him that we at least decoded the Greek - this was his response:

Quote:
Jochen Peiper <doctorjpjrSPLATgmail.com> wrote:
Does the postcard say what is coming for me or why? Do you have any more information? Is it a threat?

News of the translation is troubling. I believe that I will drive a short ways and get away from here. A colleague has offered me his summer home. I think that I may stay there for a few days while I consider my options.

I have a large favor to ask you. Is it possible that if I can get these items digitized and sent to you that you could put them on the Internet somewhere? I am getting many emails from persons willing to help but replying to all of them is not possible. So far you seem to have the most answers to my problems. If there is one place perhaps to send people so that this evidence will see the light of day that will be good. Do you think so?

You can think about this issue. I must pack now. I intend to leave within the hour.

My reply:
Quote:
We haven't been able to decipher all of the pictures and if there as any meaning behind them yet, but several of us are working on it. Initially speaking, along with the theme of the videos they have sent you - I don't think that AV is a branch of the Boy Scouts.

I think you are smart to get away, just be careful of anything suspicious out there.

There are several free web hosting sites that are available for you to post not only pictures, but any correspondence that you would like people to be able to publicly see. Many do not require a lot of personal information, so you will have anonymity. Here are a couple of options:

www.blogger.com (which is good since you already have a gmail account)

http://www.tripod.lycos.com/

www.flickr.com - specifically for uploading pictures

Actually there are several mediums - of course if you don't want to do that, you can send me the pictures and I can get them posted to everyone that wants to help. Just let me know what you would like to do, and we will all be there to help. I will pass your message onto the rest of those that you do not have time to respond to.

Be safe.
Ang

I was trying to think off the cuff as I DO have to leave for a meeting now, but should be back here in about 30 - I'll let you know if I hear back from him but if he's heading out I doubt it...

Him asking if there was any more information leads me to believe that there is still more to find.

I'm playing with the contrast and brightness of the image.

Fist word is defetively unlegible.

Then it's a clear OK.

Then is L and something that I do not think it's an 'a'. All other letters are capital letters. So it may be a '#'.

Then it comes LANCE, altought I'm not sure about that 'C'. May be LANUE.

Then a letter I can't see, and 'HEST'. And after that J.C.

Finally, 'FUUFEDUE'.

So its:

******.OK L# LAN*E *HEST J.C. FUUFEDUE

Hello all. Not sure if I'm actually gonna get involved in this one, but I got tired of waiting for YourLife so I decided to read some of the other threads in here. My random hit-and-run speculation:
J.C. may very well be a reference to Jesus Christ, if this whole biblical connection has merit (though this may be somewhat obvious...)

There also appears to be a forward-facing accent mark over the last letter... over that e. Not sure, but if it's just a non-english language that might help figure out which. That thing that looks like a # might be a lower-case a, but I don't see why it'd be the only lower-case letter. Also, Fuufedue is a funny word.

That's all I got. Maybe I'll pop in every now and again and try to see if I can help out with this AV mystery.

Well, I was thinking J.C. Fuufedue could possibly be someone the good Dr. knows??? Hopefully I'll hear back from him - but his specific asking if we had any more information leads me to believe that there's more (of course that could be linked to the other postcards he's left). I'm at a stopping point in trying to figure it out... (hehehehehehehe)

I'm not sure it is - I think its actually DE - the jpg compression artefacts camouflage the top and bottom of the E, so that the serifs look like a K. If we accept it as DE, then the first sentence could be 'Frere de la lance', brother of the lance or brother of the spear. I'm almost certain that the language is French (accounting for the accent over the final letter of the last word)

But then again, you might be right...There is so much that is speculative about reading that text, its like looking at images in a fire. Unless someone can find a motto or maxim that fits (possibly masonic, or possibly Knights Templar), then I think we need to refocus the analysis on something else.

What though? A random thought that occured to me was to do with the horizon line - if you read it as a landscape and walk through it, you eventually get to 'AV'. Perhaps the objects are waymarkers. Then again perhaps the image needs to be read when rotated so that the greek text is horizontal, and perhaps the image needs to be layered or folded in some way. Thinking aloud... I think I should stop this and do something.

I did all kind of image manipulation, but is not really possible to get a clear image. Text recognizment trew me all kind of crazy stuff, from fuufedue to prrpecuf. Nothing that makes sense.

I goggled all the posibilitied I could thing of, with no luck.

So nothing to do but wait for the next postcard.

ok, I'm in. It's been too long since I've gotten involved in an ARG. I'm going to compose an email to the Dr, since I can offer no help on the postcard.

PS: ANGBA! long time no see! how have you been?

The doctor seems reluctant to create a space of his own to host material, so to encourage him into releasing more to us, I have established a blog at http://pathlab.blogspot.com/

I have also asked him if he could transcribe the illegible text from the original that was left under his door. Perhaps that way we will know if its relevant or not.

Meanwhile... I'm coming up with the number 4 a lot.

  • The diamond at the head of the postcard
  • The curved stem, which if multiplied by four and rotated forms a circle (a crown of thorns) and the lance forms a cross, reflecting the cross pattée inside the diamond (notice too, how the wedge begins to form the arms of a swastika - I don't know how much credence to give any of this - this type of thing just happens when you multiply and rotate an image):

  • Since one of the videos showed what seemed to be alchemists, AV could be the alchemical symbols for air and water, 2 of the four elements: http://www.levity.com/alchemy/symelem.html
And the cross within the circle being the "universal seed": http://www.levity.com/alchemy/symgener.html
  • it comes 4 you

Or is this too esoteric?
