Gah, the last thing I should do when I wake up in the middle of the night and can't get back to sleep is go online and listen to this recording. Danggit, I'm gonna be realllllly tired for my interview in the morning, because now I'm too freaked and intrigued to sleep.
(can't sleep, clowns will eat me)

I have played it forward and in reverse and there are at least 6 separate messages here. I'm trying to clean it up as much as possible.
The isolated moment is "I saw someone kill Cassie. You have to find... (pauses) ... her high school."

What local time (California time that is) was it when the calls occurred?

Seems an odd time to call back on a weekday... does she think no ARGers have jobs?!

That's so creepy. I'm glad I didn't call...the last thing I would need (if I were actually sleeping, that is. lol) is to get a crazy phone call like that to wake me up from a sound sleep at 1:30 in the morning.

the bit at 25 sec in the cassie call back is from "MY First Kiss" at 17 sec...
"i thought i'd jump on the old internet and see what i could find"
so much straining of the ears for nothing
ETA: i don't think there is much of value in this message. there are snippits of the messages folks left on the machine and bits from the bree videos et c., but i'm not finding any meaningful clues here. it may just be cassie's way of making sure we are still paying attention, letting us know that she has a some good audio editing software, and that there might be a video to follow.

I think there is a puzzle here - we need some help from the hardcore ARGers - isn'tn there a Bat Signal we can send up or something?

perhaps they're not all insomniacs like us. when the alarm clock goes off in the morning and they're eating their bowls of choc-o-bat-puffs they'll give us a few insights i hope

I agree! However, anyone brave (or foolish) enough to leave their actual phone number in a strange v-mail box deserves it.
