[EMAIL] Wes Keeler Sep 23 - Trust

Gots me an email from Wes.

Quote:

James,

I apologize for what must have seemed like mistrust. I have reasons and a need to be careful about where I lay my faith. I believe you when you say you aren't the one who betrayed my whereabouts the night of my initial meeting with Sam.

If you trust Dale then you'll trust his judgement, I am who I say I am, Sam I Am.

Sam, however, isn't quite the same person I remember. Although I tried to look beyond the physical, I just couldn't see any traces of the old Sam there whatsoever. And that's the most perplexing part about everything, the one thing I can't seem to make fit into my theories. Like trying to fit a square peg into a round hole, I keep coming up short. I expected what I found, however it didn't make the finding any easier. I didn't address it with anyone when I first came back, I wasn't sure I wanted to disrupt anything just then, at least until I could make an attempt at understanding and see Sam for myself. And now I'm glad I didn't, I need to find a way to comprehend it before I can formulate a response to it.

What we are hoping to accomplish, like nature, can't be forced onto someone. We can't obligate people to remember what they don't, and we can't wrest from them what they believe they remember.

Wes,
You can trust that I am concerned for my friends in Aglaura and the future.
I've personally gone to great lengths to help out a friend named Keith.
Maybe you can ask Dale about him.
I didn't betray any information on your behalf, but so far, neither have I
really facilitated it. I honestly don't know what to believe at this point.
Perhaps if I show you where we got that warning about you?

www.mystes.com

Found from a poem that I personally put together from some writing Dale
apparently did while under hypnotic trance. Mystes of Avalon was the clue
we were able to pull from that. If that rings any bells.

I also wish you would do more to prove you are who you say you are.
Considering you are only one of a few with knowledge of past non-events, that
should be somewhat easy.

But all in all, I can see why you wouldn't trust me, after all, it takes trust
to gain trust, right?

Dashcat,

I'm sorry I can't seem to find your other email, but I believe you had asked me about Marzent and the Mystai. I don't necessarily believe the Mystai are behind Marzent, but neither do I believe Marzent to be completely innocuous. I'm not sure which are after the masks, but if what I believe about the masks is true, it would fit the profile of a group like the Mystai..

Dale is an absolute mess, with good reason. He really needs everyone's support right now, and I think the best thing for him would be to move forward with our plans.I'm trying to convince him to use his anger, fear, and frustration to forge ahead. Couple his passion for his daughter with the sting of man who has had everything ripped from him, and you get one hell of a formidible enemy. Add a little luck to the mix, and Meaghan will be found before any harm can come to her.

I tried to get a sense of where Meaghan might be when I met with Sam and walked the streets of Aglaura. I can usually count on my instincts for help in small affairs, unfortunately Meaghan's disappearance is one of a larger nature. I felt blocked somehow. Now don't get me wrong, I'm no psychic - I just have a really good gut instinct, and I'm rarely wrong.

Sam isn't quite the same person I remember. Although I tried to look beyond the physical, I just couldn't see any traces of the old Sam there at all. Quite unnerving. It's perplexing and I can't seem to make fit into any of my theories. Like trying to fit a square peg into a round hole, I keep coming up short. I expected what I found, but it didn't make the finding any easier. I didn't address it with anyone when I first came back, I wasn't sure I wanted to disrupt anything just then, at least until I could make an attempt at understanding and see Sam for myself. As for the Morse code dream, I'm sure it was just a coincidence. But interesting nonetheless. The images came to me in such rapid succession, it would be hard for me to pinpoint an exact sequence. But you've a very inquistive mind, I like that - but more importantly - we'll need it.

Wes

Similar to dashcat's version:

Yes, after what happened at the Diner the other night, I do believe someone wants my hide. It must be someone who knows that I hold a link to what and how we were before, and that I don't intend to sit idly by.

I am disappointed that someone who was seemingly on our side betrayed me. I'm trying not to be stubborn and suspicious of everyone, because we need all the help we can get. But I am going to be extremely careful and aware of my movements and surrounding from here on in.

Dale is a mess, and rightly so. He really needs everyone's support right now, and I think the best thing for him would be to move forward with our plans. Action and maybe even a little revenge might be the best possible therapy. I tried to get a sense of where Meaghan might be, which direction she may have gone or been taken when I met with Sam and walked the streets of Aglaura. I can usually count on my instincts for help in small affairs, unfortunately Meaghan's disappearance is one of a larger nature.

Sam is...well, definitely not the same person I remember. Although I tried to look beyond the physical, I just couldn't see any traces of the old Sam there at all. And therein lies the most puzzling part, the one thing I can't seem to make fit into my theories. I expected what I found, but it didn't make the finding any easier. I didn't address it with anyone when I first came back, I wasn't sure I wanted to disrupt anything just then, at least until I could try to understand and see Sam for myself. And if what I believe of the masks is true, Meaghan is great danger.

Here's my Wes email. After the personalized opening, I got the three paragraphs about Meaghan, Sam, and What we are trying to accomplish:

I can't be sure, but I do think it a distinct possibility that the chaps who were waiting for me at the diner are the same one's involved in Diana's death and Meghan's uprooting. If it weren't for the warning I received just before leaving for the diner, I might have met with the same ends. Seeing how down and angry Dale is, I would trade places in a heartbeat if I could - if I thought it would do any good. However I think whoever killed Diana probably wouldn't settle for one or the other, this evil wants all.

Do you think the person who betrayed my whereabouts the night of my initial meeting with Sam may have done the same with Diana and Meaghan?

I tried to get a sense of where Meaghan might be...
