I really, really liked the Silent Hill movie. Very Happy (don't worry this is on topic, just keep reading)

Was it because it was Oscar worthy? No. Was it because it had a script and acting to inspire all future actors and writers? No. I liked it because I'm a big fan of the Silent Hill video games and it captured the essence of the games perfectly, IMHO. The creatures moved the same way, the atmosphere had the same feeling and the cameras even moved in the same way. Whether or not it was an excellent movie, I enjoyed myself.

ARG players are just like movie-goers. Not every ARG player is going to be looking for the same thing in an ARG. While I agree that there are many signs that an ARG will probably implode, I don't think that using a certain technique or medium means it is destined to fail. Just take a look at The Lost Experience. Laughing
