Hopefully it won't be neccesary for him to drive too far. I work near the medical center and hang out in/near the montrose almost every night of the week. I'll message the guy tomorrow while we're at work or whenever he next gets online.

Hung around for a bit to see if I could catch him on IM, but had an early start this morning...

Someone remind him that he's a scientist, and that he ought to hit up some colleagues in the anthroplogy dept, before he starts going feral on us!

You could also let him know that he's in a 77 zip code - that's one less seven than the number of God, but pretty damn close (on second thoughts don't, it'll propel his paranoia to new heights...)

The email seems to have stopped coming through at the moment. The last I heard from him was that he was tired and would give my questions some thought, so I might search him out on IM for some idle chat.

I've been experimenting more with the postcards he sent. The last Greek quote made me think there must be something in the geometry - Da Vinci, Durer (both fascinated by geometry), and now this quote about somebody walking the line between two books.

So I now know more about Phi (and phi) than I did when I was at school, but I'm still flailing around trying to find something that isn't just a suggestion, something that doesn't just send me off on more speculative journeys (for instance... what was that thing about stopping off in Indianapolis all about? Laurel Hall is run with an endowment fund from Phi Kappa Psi... Phi! The number that defines the length of the arms of the pentacle! Phi! The Golden number! AV! Au! Its the fraternities godammit!)

Anyone with time on their hands might want to give it a go and perhaps we can brute force it. Or perhaps there isn't anything more than something allegorical there. Really not sure...

BTW, I also thought that the Greek comment (on the envelope) could be a warning to Jochen to "get off the fence". He was brought up as a Christian (probably Catholic), and this interest in occult power has plainly been dormant in him for a long time, but he took the road that led him to science.

This would imply that AV has known him for a long time and has been trying to push him into becoming one or the other.

There is another thread called "Does this Warrant a Look". I had see these videos and was watching them to see what developed. Could this guy be AV?? His live journal has a picture of texas. the caption is "Be prepared." His you tube account has the caption. "You can't run away from what you did. I'll follow you until you confess."..... so could these be related????.... I just thought I'd throw this out there.

Wabonan, i'm so glad you said that, when I first saw the livejournal, i had that thought too, but then i thought "Nah....LG15 is in cali, this is in Houston" but it would be hellacool if that livejournal has some connection......

another reason why i felt they were connected? I couldn't watch the videos on etchings account, just like i couldn't watch the Dr's videos. so far, those are the only two profiles i haven't been able to watch.

Well, I chatted a bit with our good Doctor. Most of it is probably not worthwhile (I was supposed to chat with him about witches and the Vatican...I know...but he logged on while I was studying for an archeology test, so what can I say? My brain was thinking about core samples and stuff!)

I tried here really to just gain his trust and play it "stupid" a little bit to see if he would tell me anything of interest offhand. I didn't bother him with the whole location bit (someone mentioned we should tone down his paranoia, so I tried) I must say that I think I stumped him a little...because the places I double-post are places where he did start to type something, then stopped, and did not continue until I answered. (oh, and the few typos were because I had my book in my lap, sorry)

Offhand, his cat seems to be seeing things and being rather unhappy with the television (I'm thinking "The Ring"...hehehe, kidding). He even asked me a bit about spirits. I tried, as mentioned, to keep him in the realm of scientific logic, but I do think he's far too interested in the occult now to go back. Overall, I think he would definitely like to chat again about witches, I'm looking forward to it!

So AngBa, you're no longer alone ^_^ Looks like he sees you as our fearless leader, eh?
