[AIN] From Dale 9/28
Plans for Tonight

Quote:
Carol,

After reading through all the email and messages containing theories about the documents found in that secured Marzent directory, Bruce, Wes, and I have decided we really have no time to lose anymore. The fact that \"Sam\" or whoever that was, now has the last mask makes us believe that whatever plans they have must be going forward so we may be at last out of time.

We've thought long and hard about what we are going to do, and we've decided that trying to get to and disable the machinery in the facilities in the woods is pretty much impossible. They've had security teams around them for weeks now, which all makes sense with what we've learned. So we've decided to go right for the heart of the matter, right into the headquarters of Marzent itself.

Bruce is convinced he can get us in there undetected, using some access point in the rear of the Industrial Park that he knows of. He and Wes scouted it out the last couple of days and we think it's going to work. Once we are inside the Industrial Park, Bruce's knowledge is going to lead us right into the main building and hopefully then into the restricted area that Don Marzano supposedly uses as his private offices. If there's anywhere we are going to find answers, that's the place.

God, it would have been great to have the old Sam around, to help guide us and manage our communications from the outside, like she did when we were searching for Meaghan in the woods. But, as you know, that's not going to happen. Which is where you might be able to help out.

We're drawing up some last minute plans now. I'll be in touch when we get things figured out.

Dale

This is my unique part. I asked Dale why he "drew" Sam with a bandaid on her throat and did she really have a bandaid on her throat...for three years. This is his reply:

Dash,

It's funny, there are a lot of things in the comic story that, in retrospect, I have to wonder why I put them in there, where exactly they came from. Sam's neck patch isn't quite such a mystery, as far as why it was in the book. The real Sam, I mean, the Sam in real life, not the comic book story, actually wore a patch on her neck. She always said it was some sort of transdermal patch for delivering medication, although I never pressed her on it farther than that. I always assumed it was something like a nicotine patch, even though the location of it was kind of strange, obviously. The thing is, she often wore clothes that covered her neck, so it wasn't immediately obvious that the damn thing was there all the time.

So I did describe the patch to the writer and artists who worked on the book and somehow it became a bigger deal than it was in real life, here in Aglaura.

Tonight 2

Quote:
Sylvia,

Here's the update I promised you.

If everything goes OK, all you'll really need to do for us is to help coordinate and document our communications as we do this tonight. We're thinking that, just in case something goes wrong, we need to try and leave a record of what we've done and discovered. So Bruce and I will be using our cells and mobile devices to stay in touch as much as possible while we do this. It won't, of course, be constant, but we should be able to send off enough updates to keep everyone informed. Bruce's phone can send text and I can do the same with mine, as well as recording voice and video files too.

Since we don't have Sam to get and post this material, I was hoping that a few of my online friends could do this for us. So we need people who can post these files and messages to web page somewhere, or otherwise distribute them to everyone else out there. We can't very well send each message to hundreds of people, for fear of clogging up or crashing the systems we're using, so I need a few people, a handful or so, who can help us in this way. If you can or know someone who can, please send along an email address where we can direct our messages.

Right now it looks like we'll be heading out sometime around 10PM eastern or later, so watch for a follow-up message.

Thanks for everything and wish us luck.

Dale

10 pm update

Quote:
Carol,

I'm so glad I've got you all helping me out there. Thanks for the heads up about the site that Mountain Girl set up to use for tonight. Hopefully that will serve the purpose but if we need you to do anything else, I'll let you know.

We are getting ready to head out right around 10, like I said before. it'll take a short while to get over there, and I'll try and make contact once we are close to trying to go in.

Thanks again, I'm ready to finally figure out what's going on here, aren't you?

Dale
