Wish I could be there at PICNIC, if only to meet Sassypants in person!

And rightly so! It is, ofcourse, the main reason they are flying out here at all Cool Razz

As for friday (and/or saturday), we should certainly do that! The PICNIC at night thing sounds pretty good, so let's try and do that. We'll work out details when Space and imbri arrive (expecting a phonecall any moment now).

Kender: I'll PM you my cellphone number, keep an eye on this thread Smile

I'll be there, too :)

Hi everybody,

This afternoon, I got the long awaited confirmation, that I will be at the conference, too. And I'm really looking forward in meeting you there. I'll arrive in Amsterdam on the 26th (tomorrow) and I'll stay there until Saturday evening (30th). So there's a good chance for some get together, nice chatting and drinking some beer.

See you there,
Pat

Ok, sorry for not keeping you up to speed in this thread, this week has been CRAZY and it really flew past... we're having a really good time at PICNIC though!

I propose the following plan:

The official PICNIC program ends at around 17:00. If you are able to come to Amsterdam early, we could meet at ~ 17:30 at the PICNIC Meeting Point on the Westergasfabriek terrain, have a drink at one of the pubs there, register for the PICNIC At Night thing, go have dinner together at a nearby restaurant (Café Amsterdam for those in the know) and be back around 20:30/21:00'ish for the PICNIC At Night program!

If you cannot make it early, then join us at 20:30 at the start of PICNIC at night! Nola and Kender, I've PM'ed both of you my cellphone number, let me know if/when you (can) arrive and we'll make sure we find you Smile (the meeting point building is about halfway down the "main street" of the Westergasfabriek terrain).

what's the forecast look for something like this here in the states sometime in the near future?

I'm starting to get more involved in the scene and would thoroughly enjoy such an event. Though my full-time job requires me to notify them well in advance for taking off of work.

Thanks,
Jas0n

Well, as far is PICNIC goes, they want to make this into an annual thing, in Amsterdam. But coming here really isn't all that big of a deal Wink

The event itself has been really great so far, check out the report that was written so far by SpaceBass and imbri on ARGN. Somewhere after this weekend I'll probably post a short account of how I experienced PICNIC in this thread as well... in an attempt to convince more people to come here next year Very Happy
