Could the infinity symbol (circled) be a stylized phi? Or perhaps an over-stylized fei from the Coptic alphabet?

It's definitively not greek. Only a couple of signs could be greek, like the capital 'pi', or the capital 'niu' or the lower cap 'lambda'. And those are pretty common shapes.

I'd bet is a mixture of 'magic' alphabeths. Like these :http://www.pathcom.com/~newmoon/alpha.htm. Sadly I don't have the time right now to look for every sign on that skull.

I was thinking it was alchemical symbols but I can't find some of the skull symbols in the document I was looking at. That said - there are a few sites on alchemical symbols on the web and I've yet to see two look identical so it's still possible.

Also there is an AV symbol in alchemy - it means Aqua Vitae or water of life.

i'm voting for micture of alphabets too. I spent all morning looking at alphabets. Most interestingly, the symbol that Belsthar circled was one of the view symbols i actually found. It's Y in Charlemagne's alphabet.

none of the other symbols seem to match the rest of his alphabet.

Whee for being in PST and waking up late too.

I've been spending some time going through the alphabets on omniglot, and punted the images over to a guy I know who has a book detailing almost all known writing systems (including odd ones like Theban); we'll see if he comes up with anything. I haven't yet.

There are clearly some repeats in the symbols. I'm going to try getting them lined up to do some basic cryptanalysis, and we'll see what happens. (And thanks a hell of a lot, whoever mentioned Hebrew ... you just reminded me that we have no idea whether this script goes backward or forward. Yargh.)

I'm the same way - been pouring over different glyphs now for a couple of hours, and for every one symbol that matches up there are more that don't.... I'm starting to go cross-eyed!

I also think the Dr. is getting a bit snarky - If I show that I am available to chat he won't respond, but waits until I go idle -

This is Runic, Kano/Kenaz (depending on where you look), is the letter 'K' and means Beacon or Light.

I know I said I'd have no part of this... but.. y'know... I lurked instead and didn't look at the scary videos .

Humm I just looked through all the languages on Omniglot.... I think I'm blind now... The writing looks close to cyrillic.... but then some letters don't match....I can't find anything that matches completely ...also I googled magic languages...masonic symbols ....nothing..... I think Im going to drink a beer and wait for the next clue....By the way what is the skull made of???...is it solid or hollow???...looks like a resin cast. Its definitely not a real skull....if its hollow its a vaccuform and is probably some kind of plastic......lol
