Given that witches are such a major focus of this game, might the "thirty-first day" be Halloween/Samhain (Oct. 31)?
When I hear "the one who eats the apples" I immediately think Snow White (and there's another witch there, too), but apples appear in other legends and myths as well; Norse mythology has the Apples of Idunna, which kept the Asgardian gods young, and Greek mythology has both Eris's golden apples (which started the Trojan war) and the golden apples of the Hesperides, which were the eleventh labour of Hercules.
Props to James for the solve -- good work man!

...also, let us not forget that Eve ate the apple, and we all know what happened after that.

I think those two can probably be ruled out. Eris' apple was fought over because it said "for the most beautiful," not because it was necessarily edible and similarly, there's -- to the best of my remembrance -- no talk of eating the Hesperides apples, just that Athena wanted them.

I would also caution against the skull being a warning with a specific date mentioned. I can't remember when the Doc received the skull, but I think it's been longer than 5 weeks.
FWIW, I am still posting a skull movie to Youtube, as per the doc's suggestion. I'm going to post it as if we still don't have the solution. If it draws in some new NPC's, I'll consider the honor of the UF codebreakers restored.
Besides, it might be nice to have an NPC flirt with me!

Well, I have the video - of course, Youtube is down for maintainence right now, so I can't do anything with it. Should I still bother to submit it?

Apples One of the original "Warning" videos featured the "Cuppy Cake Song", the final line of which is "The apple of my eye". Its a stretch I know, but may be of significance...

It might not hurt, but then since it's solved it might not do anything... Of course if this is the way we are supposed to draw out AV, they might do something if they see the item they sent the Dr.

Driven by boredom and procrastination, I googled apple-eaters and learned that there's a small % of the population that generally dislikes apple-eaters. Some people are just disgusted by apple eaters, other people seem a little paranoid by thinking apple eaters believe they are better than the rest of the population. J.D. Salinger throws his 2 cents in by using apple eating as a metaphor for people who let rational thought stand in the way of a purer enjoyment of the world.
Others are quick to defend their apple eating as symbolic of their individuality and free thinking attitudes. There's even a poem about the rebellious ubermench-like spirit of a born apple-eater. Now I could go on here, and theorize that the Dr, by embracing the sciences rather than religion has not only eaten the apple but has drawn the ire of those who, like Salinger, have disdain for apple eaters. But I'm not going into that cuz I think it's waaaay off the deep end.
But still, who knew there was such a discussion about eating apples. I myself like pink ladies.

Well, the Dr. claims his birthday is November 16th - But he doesn't know much about his mother and father... It is possible that his true birthday is October 31,st - but that's just assuming (which we all know is the best way to do it!!! )

Yes, I'm still speculating about who his father might be, but I'm alternating it with what his true father might have been
Kudos to Maradydd for finding that image - I searched all over and completely missed it

Banana,
Have you heard from Dr. Peiper? He hasn't been into the office and I haven't heard from him today. I know you two are close so I thought I'd check with you.
Sorry about calling you Banana but I don't now your real name!

No! I spoke with him late last night (about midnight) and he said he would talk to me this evening. I will try to email him, but he has not been too quick to reply to emails as of late.
I am somewhat worried!
If you think we should move this, let me know...

Lets wait at least untill tomorrow before we take the dissapearance of the good Dr. for granted.
After that we can start fearing the worst.
