[question] #syzygy IRC logs
Shish's logs are down, do we need a public record of logs?

I was trying to find out what puzzle was solved for the 3rd level of the Lighthouse yesterday and I realized that Shish isn't keeping the logs of #syzygy current. (Although he has provided the fabulous resource of logs going back years. Thanks Shish!!!) I know he had some connection issues when he started school again.

At any rate, before PPC, I had never played a game where the channel IRC logs were publicly hosted. I am not sure it is necessary - I found the answer to my question was that people weren't sure what the answer had been to the puzzle - but Scott thinks it makes a useful resource for historic purposes. (META- I feel confident the PMs can get access to the channel if they need it, so that shouldn't be our concern.)

What do people think? Do we need/want #syzygy logs publicly hosted? Do we find someone else to do this, contact Shish or let it go?

I'm on in #syzygy 24/7 and I have auto-logging on. I'm not entirely sure what the best way of posting them somewhere public would be, but if someone can point me in the right direction I'll upload them to my own site.

I think I still have all the logs from the start of the channel.

Hi Giskard. I'm not sure what you mean about pointing you in the right direction. Shish had the logs on his own site. I suppose you could post them on your own site if it isn't too much trouble. Not sure where else they might be posted. The perplexcity forums don't seem to be the right place.

When you do we can update the front page of the wiki to link to the logs. I tried just now to log in there and the wiki doesn't seem to be up right now.
