Good work, Kain! We now know what we have to do to finally finish this email clue thing that's been going on since the first day of the ARG.

Now, the question is, what's the riddle we have to answer?

I think you're kind of stretching it with the Paul thing, though. Yeah, he doesn't like computers, but it seems like Stan hand-wrote it and wants approval before he posts it online. That's the way I read it, anyway.

And now, we get to work on the riddle. First we need to figure out what the riddle IS, then we can work on an answer.

*Bows* Thank you thank you, no, no applause please, your too kind.

Meh, your probbly right.

I have no idea what the riddle is. However, mabey we need to send THE ANSWER TO THE RIDDLE to him tomorrow...i dunno. Im gonna go ctrl+a all the pages and see if anything new pops up...also gonna check my email now, just incase.

Edit: Go look at the Staff page for the club. View the source, theres a site adress in there but i cant tell if its relevant or not because its all techincal mumbo jumbo. Take a look for me please Very Happy

Edit again: Also, theres letters in bold...these are them.

Spoiler (Rollover to View):
the bass is the key, I assume that means its the bass player....ans isnt he the next one we need to email o.O

Nice find with the bolded letters. I wonder how long that's been there? Yeah, I would guess it means the bass player, cause he's the last one we have to email.

As far as the source code, I'm not seeing it. All of the freewebs stuff is just the site TPTB used to create the SRC website. The one at the VERY top is almost always on source codes, so I don't think it's very significant.

Good idea checking the source codes, though. TLE hid stuff there all the time.

Ha! Flash of inspiration.

Spoiler (Rollover to View):
I bet the riddle we have to answer is the first two email messages. HOW MANY PLACES MUST YOU LOOK UNTIL YOU FIND THE CLUE? And the answer is... Question That's your homework for the night. What do we email Richard Melthan with tomorrow?!?!?!

Edit to Add:
Luc updated "My Inner Voice."

Spoiler (Rollover to View):
He sounds like he's not holding up well under the stress of the kidnapping. He also sounds pretty desperate for us to share the clues we're finding with him on his forum. Also, someone posted on the comments of his post from this morning saying he's not trustworthy and is hiding info from us... he sounds pretty upset. So, I signed up for the forum, and anyone else watching this game should too. Also, for the third post in a row he's used some form of the word "Juxtapose". It's not that common of a word, so I thought I'd mention it here. It might mean something.

First off, any sane PM would watch for a thread to his ARG on this site, seeing as its the main one. Seconed off...i think i know the answer, if thats really the question.

Spoiler (Rollover to View):
Six. Six web sites. Six places looking for clues. See...im smart Very Happy

Next, im hopeing that Luc is either the PM or helping the PM because if hes just a player....then this is gonna get real complicated, real fast.

Also found out what Juxtapose means.

Spoiler (Rollover to View):
to place close together or side by side, esp. for comparison or contrast.
Dont know how it will help yet...

I didn't realize no one else had made that connection already or I'd have posted sooner.

I know the answer to the riddle!!!!

Spoiler (Rollover to View):
Linda Fontaine sent me an email (and, I'm assuming, anyone else who's sent her one) saying:

Hello. Because you are receiving this email, you have corresponded with me, Linda Fontaine. I would like to take a moment to tell you one of my favorite bands, Rain On Raineer.

This four-piece band plays every Thursday night. Each member (Jack, Charlie, Sanford, and Richard) plays a different instrument (Sax, guitar, drums, and bass). Each has their own distinct sound, and each brings a different flavor to the music they play. The four-part band clues listeners in to the world of sadness and mystery that is blues; blended together, they give listeners a larger image of what it is like to be poor and on the streets with nothing but a guitar.

Rain On Raineer is the only four-piece band that plays at Seattle Roll Call, and in my opinion, four is most definitely the magic number.

Thank you, and I hope to see you this Thursday night at Rain On Raineer.
~Linda F.

The number FOUR is mentioned many times. And think about it... four email addresses with clues leading to other email addresses. The answer is four.

No reply from rickyplaysbass yet though.

Good work on the juxtaposition thing. I feel reeeeeeeeaaallly stupid. I noticed it had to be important but I couldn't figure out how to use it.

And... umm.... I dunno what else to say. Luc posted from school about a weird dream he had regarding Emmy. He thinks it might be true, sent to him by one of the 4400 captors. I dunno what else.

No other updates, that I can find. Anyone?

Sorry, just read through some older posts.

I think it's pretty safe to say that Luc isn't a player... the entire story pretty much revolves around him. I mean, the point of this trail of clues is for LUC to get HIS girlfriend back, eventually. Wink Didn't you read the kidnappers' note / the first few blog posts? This is Luc's story. If Luc isn't official, then I think things are going to go downhill real, real fast, because this ARG would have no purpose whatsoever... the point of the ARG is, we're trying to help Luc save his girlfriend.

Or maybe that's just me... Confused That's what I understood this to be anywho... Ideas? Thoughts? Other parts to this freaking image?

*is completely over-the-top excited.

I got a reply from Richard Melthan finally! And the next part of the image. It looks like we only need two parts after all.

Someone want to photoshop this together with the other one and see if you can make out what it says?

Surprised You should have seen me when the email showed up. I jumped out of my seat and screamed "YES!"

Ok, so putting the images together, you can read a web address (sort of): http://www.of14.blogspot.com .

Going there, you find morse code which translates to:
Spoiler (Rollover to View):
THE EYE OF THE SNAKE IS ALWAYS UPON YOU CAN YOU EVER FORGET WHAT YOU SAID TO HER? NOW HER LIFE'S IN THE BALANCE AND IT ALL HANGS UPON YOU. IF SHE DIES DO YOU THINK YOU CAN EVER FORGET HER? WE'RE WATCHING YOU, LUC, AND WE DON'T LIKE WHAT WE SEE. YOU'RE SUPPOSED TO BE DOING THIS ALL BY YOURSELF. LOOK IN THE PLACE WHERE IT'S DIFFICULT TO SEE. AND YOU'LL REALIZE THIS IS ALL ABOUT YOURSELF. IT WAS NEVER ABOUT EMMY, LUC, IT'S ABOUT YOU. YOU AND YOUR STUBBORN PREJUDICE. WE TOOK HER TO CHANGE YOU, TO FORCE YOU, TO MAKE YOU SEE THAT IT'S NEVER RIGHT TO HAVE PREJUDICE. NOW, LUC, IT IS TIME TO GIVE OUT THE NEXT CLUE. AND MAKE YOU REALIZE WE'RE ALL AROUND. BE WATCHING, LUC, FOR YOUR NEXT CLUE MAY COME WHEN YOU THINK WE'RE NOT AROUND.

The rest may be a jump-ahead, or intentional, so reader beware.
Spoiler (Rollover to View):
Seeing as the above post references "The Eye of the Snake" and we've got two blogspot sites "Eye14" and "Of14". So I tried "The14" and "Snake14". http://www.the14.blogspot.com/ seems to be a normal/legitimate blog unrelated to the game (second opinion?), but http://www.snake14.blogspot.com/ is part of the game. Notice the links on the side? One of them leads to another new site - http://www.geocities.com/eyeofthe_snake/main.html.

Hidden in white text are two phrases: "a splinter of the nova group" and "euuoytb ersu si 'eyeofthesnake'". Anagramming the last one results in "youtube user is 'eyeofthesnake'". So now we have http://www.youtube.com/profile?user=eyeofthesnake , but no videos yet. The profile has morse code text which translates to "STANDBY".
