Oliver, I think you are taking this post-whoring thing way too seriously.

It's a joke, okay?

Dorkmaster, Magesteff and I (as well as other people, occasionally) joke about it. But all of us have tons of substantive posts under our belts. Long before we ever posted inconsequential socializing or joking posts, we'd posted lengthy, well-considered and hopefully helpful discussions.

(Sorry, Dorkmaster and Magesteff, for using primarily my own posts as examples -- I just knew where they were and didn't want to spend the time searching through your (many) posts to find good examples. Smile )

So, people put up with us when we joke about post-whoring and competing with one another for the most posts.

But again, this is joking. In reality, quality over quantity, okay?

Having short posts are ok too, if they can stimulate others to look at a problem in a new way. Posts with information, or character contact, or speculation on which direction we might be needing to look next, or to clarify something are also gladly welcomed.

Spamming the board to just pump your numbers tends to make people ignore you, and the moderators frustrated with you - and you don't want that do you Oliver?

Cute Puppy Z... but would also need a smilie next to it taking the cell phone away and stomping on it....

Dagnabit. Why am I plagued with typing demons lately! Go away!

 Another Emoticon?
How do we express our deepest love?

Was wondering whether I might put in a request for an emoticon for lurve?

Could we have a little rosy heart, or a blushing bunch of flowers or some such expression of heart-throbbing gut-wrenching infatuation?

See here for when we needed it for some 14th century Italian love poetry.

I promise I won't overuse it.

Can I ask please God no heart emoticons? Unless we can find an uber cool one. Not that I don't like Mapmaker's suggestion.

Oh wait - is there a way to turn off viewing emoticons in posts? If there is, then go for it and I withdraw my comment.
