OK - the emergency server is just not up to it.

We'll need to wait for the main server to be set up.

Can't say I didn't try - but it's too much work getting a machine set up as a single user gaming workstation to be a Web and DBMS server.

Sorry guys - your CPU's get to take a pause for a couple of days.

I'm just cutting over to the new Webserver now.

A bit of a shame really, as I'd finally got the emergency server working quite sweetly.

Ho hum.

Next post should be a 'back to business as usual' one.

Steve you [RULE]

Steve C you are a [fantastic guy] of the highest order. By far and away the most [amazing dude] I've encountered on this forum

Edit: I don't know who Steve C is but this sounds so much better, don't you think? Don't come back. -SpaceBass

SteveC is not only the original author of this thread, I think he was/is also somewhat involved with the ongoing effort that is the 13th Labour.

I guess that makes this random digression on topic enough to ask: Does anybody have any idea what happened to him? He mysteriously disappeared 6 weeks ago, after making an interesting offer.

Hopefully he just needed a break or something...

I haven't seen or heard from SteveC in a while - though I'm not exactly a regular on IRC myself these days.

I'll probably be on #13thlabour tonight dealing with the 1.4.0 rollout so I'll ask the rest of the boyz(TM) about it.

Slight hope

For what it is worth, there has been a weekness found in the MD5 Hash that might help us.

Yeah, I wonder about that offer too, I sent him some enticing options...

Sorry to burst your bubble...while I'm certainly not a crypto guy, I think you've got your MD5 and RC5 mixed up.

But hey, there's always hope....and with this one, it's just a question of time till we get it. Now, if only a few thousand people could easily be swayed to run the damn (I mean glorious) client Neutral...

And chimera245, thanks for keeping an eye out for SteveC. It didn't seem very much like him to just up and leave...

You are of course entirely correct and I have clearly displayed that:

1. I am a durn fool
2. I need to drink coffee before posting.

Thank you for not trouting me - I will administer it now. Trout

Is there a problem? I don't seem to have been able to get any work units since 04:15 UTC today.

Minor problems in the world according to Billy.

Windows Server 2003 has decided to shutdown as I haven't configured the server as a Domain Controller Sad

Give me 2 more hours and I'll have beaten it into shape.

Sorry about that.
