[UPDATE] The Ooze Zone - 20 Oct 2006 - A Song for the Deaf

I'm not really a political animal - I leave that stuff to the middle management and megalomaniacs - but right now, I feel like a placard-wielding activist. This lockdown is insane. Blaming Earth for all our problems is so wrong-headed I'm tempted to unscrew Earlywine's cranium and check the contents for damage.
Still, I'm pretty sure this is just a knee-jerk thing and we'll get back to normal eventually. Garnet's calling it a 'period of stability and consolidation'. You don't want to know what I'm calling it. Or him. He's got us working on admin tasks and process checks with the MC guys - small-print things, the kind of stock-taking jobs Garnet adores.
None of this is getting us any closer to the Cube. In fact, I reckon this whole lockdown is probably getting us further away from it. But who listens to me? I'm just an Academy scribe...
I'll try and keep in touch if I can. Hopefully, this embargo won't last long. You'd better hurry up and find that Cube soon, though, just in case.

I wonder if the admin tasks Caine is being put to work on could lead to the discovery of an alternate communication medium? I guess we could always ask him, eh?

I would think Kurt would be our best bet for that - he's the one who designed the system and is setting up the lockdown....

Definitely agree that Kurt would be the best man for the job. I guess I was theorizing on a potential outcome from what Caine was telling us about the tasks Garnett has them working on.
Pulling the threads together as it were...

Alright....let's all just spend the next few days not working, not going to school....nothing else but digging. We can do it!...sorry this is serious.

Could this result in a final list of unauthorized changes to the cards? Maybe to compare with the things we have already found?
It does sound like they are trying to focus our attention on finding the Cube.

Good point. It could be a last bunch of changes to what MC is putting through, or perhaps a bunch of information being surreptitiously passed on to us via MC... Oonly time will tell.
I'm trying to contact MC and see what they have to say...

If anyone in PXC would start a revolution, it's Caine. Let's hope that his fire hasn't dimmed yet, cause right about now, we need a rebel!

If there is a revolution, here's how I see the leadership:
Caine: Political Leader
Caine's not easily led, but he trusts his friends - and he's very outspoken. He'd make a good out-in-front-type leader for a revolution.
Violet: Public Supporter
I get the feeling that from previous conversations re: Violet and Caine, that if Caine does become the political leader of a revolution, Violet wll be one of the first to join him.
Kurt: Tactical Leader
While Caine's out politicking and urging to common Perplexian to rise up against oppression, Kurt's lurking in the shadows, planning strategies for both nonviolent and violent protest.[/b]

Very good line-up Mac! I'd have to agree that CAine would definitely be a firebrand. Sente could serve as some sort of elder statesman in that kind of outfit, too...
