I thought the '3p_agent' and '3p_not_agent' were in the list of identities in the room... he was pretty close to the top because it was in alphabetical order. Have no proof and wouldn't swear to it though!

Perhaps someone still has screenshots of the end of the game?? I checked makomk's flickr shots (see the Revenge thread) but the userlist was scrolled to the bottom, thus obscuring the users.

Given that the 3P are a lot more likely to give us a link to an audio file of Anna being horribly tortured in a sewer, rather than make slightly smug comments, I suspect this may have been event induced over-excitement.

Ah, but maybe they knew that thats what we'd think... so did it cos they thought we'd think it wasn't them!
TBH thats my general leaning at the mo

I'm off out for a couple of hours, but will have a look through my screenshots when I get back (unless someone else finds one of theirs first).

They were on the list. I wasn't paying attention to the official chat, but someone in #syzygy made a comment about 3p_not_agent which caused me to quickly flip over to the official chat... and yes, scan the list of participants to see if there actually was someone there with that name.
I'm very unnerved by the idea of in-game stuff happening in chatrooms. It's one thing to watch a "voice-to-text" interface like Kurt has previously set up, because at least we know for sure that it's in-game. But this... how do we know for sure that this is in-game? I don't think we can. And it just blurs the line too much. I'm very much hoping that this was just someone fooling around.

May link with:

# Intermittent signal recorded, weak, faint.
# Unable to determine location or direction.
# Signal lost after 0.278 seconds.
# Dispersal pattern suggests target located in arboreal area .
# Report ends.
Wikipedia says "An arboreal animal is one which inhabits or spends large amounts of time in trees or bushes." so Badlands National Park seems right.

Grrrr. The screenshots I've got are all stored on my PC, which decided to die, so I can't have a look at them. If only I'd uploaded them somewhere, or put them on my laptop. Gah!

I'm ALMOST certain this was a joke in the chat room by players, nothing in game at all, I won't put money on it but tbh I'm just putting it down to a joke and nothing more.

Hmmm...I wouldn't describe the badlands as particularly "arboreal" -- Very few trees and bushes, really -- it's more like a desert as I recall from driving through that area a few years ago.

I'd agree: Badlands is a prarie with rock formations, not really "arboreal" (unless you're one of those people who thinks it's tropical every time its hot and muggy out. Then "arboreal area" could just mean "trees nearby," which rules out the Sahara but not much else). Although, FWIW ....
[spec]...Remember the bit on "End of the Line" about finding something buried in front of a statue of a quadraped with it's middle leg raised? Well, the Crazy Horse monument is being built in the Badlands. It'll still take decades to finish, but the plan is to eventually have a HUGE statue of a mounted Crazy Horse (Brits: he was a Native American chief). The planned horse will only have one leg carved (if you think like Michelangelo, the other three will remain in the mountain), and that leg is up in the air.

Alright, question:
If 3P was going to communicate with each other:
1. Why would they do it in a chat room with dozens of Cubehunters reading all the chat messages?
2. Why would they do it under the user name 3P agent??? Wouldn't that be the biggest give away?
Come on guys, use your heads. This is so clearly a prank, it's not even funny.
Unless that's what they want us to think...

That was entirely my point... how believable it is depends on how deeply you think it.
However, whatever it is it seems 'he' is watching this!

Hi all,
I don't know if anyone's still seriously considering 3p_not_agent as an important figure, but...
The Receda's Revenge chat is still open. Zeke was online when I logged in a couple of hours ago. Just now, I saw that Zeke was logged out and there was a message from 3p_not_agent:
Bcgvba 4) Abar bs gur nobir.
ROT13ed: Spoiler (Rollover to View):
Option 4) None of the above.
I don't know what this is in reference to.
Anyway, in classic Superman style, I propose that Zeke is 3p_not_agent!!
How much do we really know about Zeke? Is there any evidence of his existence on Earth before the cube theft? School records, social security number, anything like that? IS HE THE ONE IN A BILLION? These are questions that must be answered.
