 		[OFF TOPIC] Literature, Philosophy, etc.
I was wondering if there were any other literature, philosophy, or media study scholars out there (either professionally or amateur) who would lie to discuss the theoretical, cultural, or literary impact of this "game" (I prefer "narrative").

The narrative seems to draw heavily on literature (specifically the gothic) and philosophical texts, just like the Wachowskis' films do.

Friends and I have been discussing these topics for weeks and I would love to hear some other opinions.

I would be willing to post some topics for discussion here or other places.

Just a thought.

Also, does anyone know of places where these kind of things are being discussed? I would really appreciate some links, resources, and the like.

 		Found Something!
Hey, all.

I just stumbeld upon a terrific scholarly paper on MMORG and Unreality gaming called: "This is Not a Game."

It is truly fantastic and the best writing on the topic that I have seen yet. With more resources like this I may be able to develop a class around the phenomenon or at least integrate it into another, broader, course.

If you have any similar items, pass them along!

25 Important questions, beginning with "Does Science Matter?" But #25 is the one that caught my eye:"Does Paranormal Phenomena Exist?" It begins by mentioning spoon-bending in the first paragraph.

This ARG is really messing with my mind. Two months ago, I wouldn't have even looked at it twice.

Now I wonder if the NYTimes is in game, and looked through the page for the USH logo.

 		I'm hugely interested in the philosophy and literature aspects of this game, and the Matrix as a whole actually.
I'm a first year collidge student and I'm in an "Intro to Philosophy" class, but I'd love to learn more, read more, and discuss.
((Also, in the event I'm able to bring anything to the table as far as the continuing progress of this game, I'd guess that it's the above interests/experience))

Okay: you are a first year "college" student
Also, you only need one parenthesis at the beginning and end of a parenthetical statement.

I can't help it! Don't flame me, it is a compulsion! I have to teach this stuff every day and now, somewhere in Ohio, there is a Composition TA thanking me.

Second of all, I should have specified that "collidge" is a running joke between a few friends of mine and myself.

Thirdly, no TAs are out there thanking you; no TAs really care about me yet, because I tested out of entry level English, and don't start the good stuff until next semester.

Did I just blatantly dangle a participle? I didn't think that I even knew how to do that, so now I'm curious. Very Happy Does this mean I have to start writing complex sentences with large and impressive words on the forum? My writing seminar professor would be proud. Very Happy Especially if we turned this into a thread about gene therapy and its ethical implications. Anyone wanna give it a try?
