That would be sweet, but it almost needs something else. Like something on the back. So, should I start working on a couple of those ideas?
By the way, could you tell me how to attach a pic? I can never get it to work.

I'll get one of the other designs, but not the girl one...that picture just freaks me out for some reason.
The Wired Reality one sounds good.

Tee Right, as my previous post on page 1 of this thread, I want to put the picture on the back of the shirt and a ARG-metacotechs logo on the front. Anyone know what font that the Metacortechs name is in?

I think that doing the original tapestry picture is one way to do it. Or different messages if we can come up with the tru type Font for it.
Or do it the hard way and cut/paste from Xnbomb's character chart (like he did in his own avatar )

Alright. It took me about an hour and a half to get it mostly done, but I finished the Abnormal Research Group T-shirt concept. Sorry, but I still can't figure out how to attach a pic to this post. So unless someone tells me how to do it, you are just going to have to pm me and I will send it to you via email (JPG unless specified). My roomate thinks it looks tight, and I am sure that most of you will like the concept as well.
By the way, put out some ideas and I will see what I can create.
[Edt] Aah haah. I got it, thnks omnie. This pic is not on the shirt, because the one on the shirt looked like shizer. Enjoy.

On the screen where you enter your post, at the bottom is a button labelled Add an attachment . NB: You only use this button once.
1. Click Add an Attachment , this adds Filename and File Comment fields as well as Browse and Add Attachment buttons
2. Click Browse (next to the filename field) and locate the file in the box that pops up and open it.
3. Enter a description of the file in the File Comment box.
4. Click Add Attachment (the new one, not Add an Attachment as you did before).
This uploads the file and may take a short while depending on the file size and your upload speed.
The rest is just as before, edit your post and hit submit to finish

I don't see why the PMs would have to wait until the end of the game to make a little money. Surely selling merchandise through wongmo's site would look authentic, absolutely in the spirit of Wongmo I think. Also I think by now we're all convinced the PMs aren't in this for money or as a scam so hopefully there wouldn't be any ethical fallout from that type of action?

My concern is fallout from the WBs, or more specifically, Warner Brothers. the Metacortex logo, the matrix themes this all hinges on, the concept of an "Agent"... that's all copyright... and if it turns out that the PMs do have official backing on this (NOTE: I don't want to resurrect that debate. We won't know until the end..) you can bet that Warner Bros will kick anyone's ass if copyright is being infringed.
Hence my "donate-proceeds-to-charity" arguement... at least you can take the moral high-ground there.

All we have to do is to not make a profit off of them. We just get some shirt making company to print out the design on a bunch of shirts.
Have you ever played little league baseball? They do the same thing, replicate the design, of say the Dodgers (my old LL team), and they print it out on 15 or so shirts. There is no infringement in that at all. Just shirts made by a fan club. The main thing is we can not make a profit off of selling them to others.

This is great! The format needs to be updated so that it can be on a tshirt. I'll update it and put it up.

I figure I will start working on one of my other t-shirt ideas tomorrow, when I actually have time to just sit at the computer for a couple of hours. Ahh, Isn't it nice to have an easy day (very rare) at the Air Force Academy.

If you honestly want to go into the legality of it, profit doesn't matter. You can download all you want off of kaaza, without a profit, and it's still illegal.

But isn't there a difference between symbols, logos, or quotes and computer downloads. I could be wrong, but with mp3s, the bands are trying to sell it for a profit. If you take it and then give it away for free it becomes illegal because the bands aren't getting their share of the profits for you taking over promoting their stuff. We aren't taking anything that the WB's are trying to sell. On the contrary, we would actually be advertising for them without being paid.
Another point though, with a lot of art copyrights if you just change a couple of colors or the design a little bit the once copywritten merchandise becomes uncopywritten. Such as the font of the word.
Finally, there is no C in a circle (copyright sign) next to the word Metacortechs or Metacortex, meaning that it isn't copywritten to use that word.
Sorry for arguing Anthrax, but I just wanted to make the point that as long as we aren't selling the shirts for our profit ( ie. the money being given to us and not WB's) it is perfectly legal.

That's not really true. If I print out a t-shirt transfer of a New York Yankee logo I made and stick it on a shirt, that's copyright infringement. It doesn't matter if I sell it or not, it's unlawful use of a copyrighted/trademarked logo.
Little League shirts/caps that are identical to major league team logos aren't legal if they're "homemade." If you buy liscensed Little League uniforms with the MLB logos, that's ok.
It's not a question of profit - it's a question of fair use. It's not "legal" to take someone else's logos/trademarks/copyrights and use them freely as you want to, whether you're making money or not.
