 		I recieved this from Mildred. I initially thought she had sent the coded message so when we failed to decode it and used up all our tries I sent her an email. This is what she sent:

You did not fail me. I did not send you any test. Could you tell
me more about the hoohoo? Could it be the shadow people calling
out to you? If you believe this to be from the shadow people, do

Just got this from Mildred. I sent her the hoohoo code

 		hoohoo message solved!

This was very much a collective solve in chat (yay enaxor, drizjr, dashcat!)

Drizjr noticed that http://aladywhodrowned.blogspot.com/ had changed -- not only with a new message from the Lady:

Quote:

Do not forget to bring "the way" with you on this journey to Elbert Benjamine.


but also the fact that additional emphasis had been placed in the message talking about "the way":

Quote:

There are the Roman Numerals,Upper and Lower, that will take you deep into the shadows.


This led us to realize that one of our previous guesses for the 'hoohoo' solve must be partially correct:

RU7_RU3, where "RU" equals Roman Upper. This was arrived at earlier by assuming that "hoo" equals "dot" and "pssssst" equals dash. So "hoopsssssthooo" = R, etc.

So then we had to figure out which part of "the way" contained the Roman Upper letters and which the Roman Lower.

It took some trial and error, but we finally figured out that the Roman numbers on the upper half of "the way" are RU and those on the lower half of "the way" are RL. (duh!) I'm posting a diagram below. Smile

So, the solve to the hushmail Question:
Spoiler (Rollover to View):

RU7 = W
RU3 = E

And finally, entering "WE" as the answer to the hoohoo mail worked!

So using the same hoo=dot, pssssst=dash and then translate from Morse code method, that gives:

 		After we translated the message from "the shadow people" blog, I sent an email to Mildred to let her know they were coming.
