I wonder about putting such a code in a letter to the Sentinel. Do we really believe that no one but the CRT will be able to crack it? We may only succeed in getting access to our answers restricted.

My suggestion (and I still don't think we have any information worth communicating unless it's the five fingers bit, which they probably wouldn't be able to help with anyway) is that at the end of the letter we put something like "As they say on Earth, the answers are in the cards" or something equally snotty.

Then everyone takes a card they have a duplicate of, creates a new player and enters whatever message we want to send as their answer until they get locked out. I think if there are twenty players entering the same weird message for twenty different puzzles three times on the same day, the CRT will get the message.

The plus side to this plan is that Iona doesn't get in any trouble.

Just a thought.

I like this idea, it's definitely true that the puzzle-literate in Perplexian society (ie most of them) would immediately look for hidden meaning in a seemingly meaningless jumble of letters. Wink

Okay. I haven't been very active with PXC very much since the link was severed, since I am overwhelmed with work and school. But, glancing through the sentinel, I found something that I think is connected. I think Mme. Bianca is sending us another message, and Earlywine was the one who told me about it!

Check this out. According to Earlywine:
Quote:

Sente Kiteway...
In our preliminary investigation of the data link and its uses, we have already uncovered a large number of irregularities. Researchers at the Centre for Reality Research have misappropriated the link to acquire shoe designs.

Then, Mme Bianca sent these clues:
Quote:

The Dice (October 11 - November 10)
A bold gamble over the weekend leaves you wishing for a new pair of galoshes. Sadly, the stars decree that you will be unable to locate an acceptable pair in your size, no matter how many stores you visit. Beware of errant viruses.

I also noticed Mme Bianca talking about sports and exercise also, so I'm not sure if those are relevant. This shoe link feels important, but I don't know how it relates. I don't collect the cards, so I don't know if it relates to that.

Trout me if I'm wrong, but it feels right.[/b]
